When the primary reason you’re captured is due to the generosity and kindness of a stranger. How poetic.

good point...the nice guy actually risked his life and gave him a sandwich. I do think it could have become very dangerous had the good samaritan let him back in, because at that point Darrel knew there were hunting guns in the house and he knew the police were near...could have become a hostage situation.

I can’t believe how sweet this man is. He let an incredibly dangerous and narcissistic shell of a man into his house not knowing what he had just done. God bless this man. Even if someone is homeless, you do not let strangers into your home. Many people just like this kid were killed or robbed by the homeless people that they let into their home. A lot of homeless people (and even people who are well off), are mentally unstable. Also do not fall for the "I need a phone" trick, it is the oldest trick in the book and homeless people are provided with free phones. If anything, you can give them food and drink. If it is a homeless woman, you can give her sanitary napkins etc. We can be helpful and careful at the same time.

What a stark difference between this witness and the defendant. The young man who unwittingly invited a mass murderer into his home, let him use his phone and even made him a sandwich is gentle, good-hearted and fundamentally decent. He was raised to be a productive, decent member of society. In contrast, aged 40, Darrell Brooks contributed nothing to society but mass murder, anti social behaviour, and children he did not financially support. And he will continue to live a pointless life and be a drain on society, with the taxpayer funding his bed and board while he continues to play the justice system with as many frivolous appeals as he can get in. One night after work a 6’5” redheaded guy approached me at a gas station saying he just needed money to get home. I only had a $20, so I gave him it and said put $10 on mine $10 on yours. Long story short, he put two bucks on mine and 18 on his!!! I don’t give out cash like that anymore😤

@@strnglhld That happened to me too. I was on my bike going to work and this guy asked me for $ to get home. I am not a wealthy person, which is why I was on a bike !! It was cold and starting to get dark. The guy was supposed to drop off the $ at my house and of course, never did. Looking back on it, I'm glad that he didn't. The thought of a con artist coming to my house is much worse than getting ripped off for $20. I feel like I did the right thing--just to the wrong person. Personally, I would feel like a total jerk if I ripped off someone that was nothing but kind to me--but a con artist doesn't think that way.
