The mother went with a wealthy man and her ex-husband was heartbroken and became an alcoholic. The mother wanted nothing to do with her. She basically took care of her father until he died. After his death her mother reluctantly took her in and refused to acknowledge her publicly. She acknowledged the step daughter that hated her in front of her daughter during a parent teacher meeting with the whole class and all the parents present. She ignored her own daughter. The stepdaughter targeted her biological daughter because she loved this guy. The girl was treated like garbage. The guy loved her and she loved him but granny was insistent. She decided to break his heart so HE would give up. She went abroad alone and made a career for herself. That slap was wrong in every way. It is never an option to hit anyone, man or woman, during a heated exchange. Also, he's a weak mama's boy who just hangs out and messes around while the adopted grandson runs the company until granny decides her precious playboy grandson is ready to take over the company. The adopted son will be removed. It's a good show. It's worth the time.
