About Ronald Kanne
Ronald is a wood turner in the Netherlands. He makes commissioned work and his own free work. And every week turns out to be a little too short to get all the work done... He also runs a webshop for other wood turners. It's called: www.dehoutdraaierij.nl. This webshop is in Dutch, English and German. The website that contains his own work is called www.ronaldkanne.nl. You will also find these links in the video.

After I made my version of your tool, I turned a small square edge platter, well, until I turned through the wall. As I was working the gouge around the inside, I thought, that sounds quite thin, I'd better check it, while my gouge did go through the side wall, the wall was so thin I could see daylight holes, bugger. It was at that point, I thought it was time to check on the sheep, cow, and Geese, and to try and get the Peacock back from the neighbours yard, lol.

Brilliant! First because you use the Oneway Super Duper Stronghold chucks! Ha. The tenon device is clever…but, are we going to have to pay you a royalty, or are you making this available from the goodness of your heart as you did the scraper, or whatever that was one time long ago! So enjoy your presentations! Come to see us in the USA!

Hi Ronald, what angle do you sharpen your beast roughing gouge to get those clean shavings? Thanks
@ronaldkanne
@ronaldkanne 10 месяцев назад
Hi Matt, it is a 16 mm bowl gouge in this video. It is ground at app. 55 degrees fingernail profile....
@mattTAPPO
@mattTAPPO 10 месяцев назад
@@ronaldkanne yes, I have been watching all of your videos recently and commented on this one because it’s showing as the most recent. So was wondering the angle of the big roughing gouge that you use quite often, sorry 🤣

You spoke of the four things to a perfect tenon, what did you mean when referring to the corner of the bottom of the workpiece, and the corner referring to a part of the chuck jaws, ?
@ronaldkanne
@ronaldkanne 3 месяца назад
I think what i meant was that the angle that is on your jaws should also be on your tenon... so that there is as much contact between the 2 as possible...
