Review of the Handy Heater model HEAT-MC4. You may have seen this advertised on TV Well in this Video I put it to the test.
Picked this up at big lots for $30. Seams to work well. Only 1 heat setting but has a 2 speed fan. does put out some decent heat. This heater is designed for small spaces to take the chill out. While not designed for a bathroom you could use it to pre-heat the bathroom then unplug it before you take a shower. On low It maxes out the thermometer at 220 degrees F on high it maxes out at 200 degrees F. Its about the same sound level as a hair dryer on low but that's how ceramic heaters are. Has a 12 hour timer and the the fan will run for about a minute after the heating element shuts off to dissipate extra heat like commercial heaters. It doesn't pre-heat the element though before turning the fan on. You can set the room temperature at 90 degrees F and as low as 60 degrees F. Seams to be made of heavy duty plastic which does stay cool to the touch. The grill is made of metal though unlike some heaters that have a plastic grill. Overall it appears to be a decent heater. The display appears to flicker on camera but it's solid in person. The camera did not want to focus on the thermometers but you can see the temp go up quickly.
