The feeder box idea is really smart. Why try to get everything in on bag and lug it around when you can have the best of both having everything, but not lugging it around. I liked how your bag is practical and not the same as all the other (knipex, wera, pb swiss, etc.). Nothing against those tools, but nice to see you keeping it rolling till the wheels fall off, or just keeping it cause it still works fine. Thanks for the vid.
Usually, I only bring my impact driver, with a set of 1/4" hex shank drill bits. I only bring my drill for certain jobs. I like the magnetic wristband idea. Got my tools organized into 4 tool bags. General bag that comes with me on most jobs. Plumbing, electrical and low voltage electrical that I will only grab when needed. Knipex and Wera are quite nice, but you don't have to start with them. Just upgrade over time. Start with a Knipex pliers wrench and a cobra water pump pliers. Hadn't had much luck with electronic stud finders, but am curious about that type. I use a magnetic one currently.
Nice loadout! those magnetic wristbands come in handy on lots of other ladder work. Theyre great for installing security cameras and solar lighting. Outdoor solar lighting is getting popular on homes now. those bands are a godsend.
It's refreshing to see a video that isn't full of £1000s worth of Klein, Knippex, Wera etc. You don't need to spend all your profits to earn money. Irwin is a great brand!
i didnt think i would watch the complete video.. But here i am at the end... Irwin is nice.. i have acces to it here in my country, and whenever i want a tool that is better than the crap on the end shelf, i know irwin does the job every time... And its not knipex price, it can easy be justified.. What weight is that ball peen? looks nice and very handy
Only rich people buy Knipex, saved for a Knipex Cobra and been saving ever since hahahahahaha. Got 2 knipex tools so far pretty proud. Nice video sir better than those fake repair guys where the tools never been used
Love the vid man. From san jose Cali . Helped.me allot digure whats beat for me. Started out in maintincw thenn mouldings. Getting into the world of handymen. Its so hard to get jobs tho.... I going to watch your video about not going into debt.
Good luck getting out there. It can be hard in the beginning to get jobs especially now when people aren't spending money like they were but there's definitely work out there.
Hey Man as long as the tools are being used it doesn’t matter what brand! Some of these guys spend a lot of money on tools but they look unused brand new what for lol
I have my eye on a $120 backpack for tools on Amazon. The more I see of using a backpack, like your great pack-out, the more I am motivated to pull the trigger on the purchase. I would use it for dedicated electrical. If it works out, I would then look for one for general repair/carpentry. Thanks for the content Daryl. Love the content. Love the delivery!
Good video Daryl. Impressive amount of tools in your everyday carry bag and feeder tote. I have most of what you showed but not all. Will keep those in mind for the future. In starting up my handyman business I am currently working on this very issue: how to make my essential tools portable and available when I need them without having to stop and head back home or to the store. I decided to have separate bags for electrical and plumbing and another for general repair plus various containers for other items, i.e., screws, nails, washers, wire nuts, gaskets, etc. I think this is a major issue to solve for every handyman and repair person. I believe most of that comes through experience which you obviously have and are kind enough to share. Thanks again.
Great collection of tools! Thanks for sharing. My mother is very handy. As a kid, I thought she was odd because I thought being handy was a “guy” thing. Looking back, I can see how ahead of her time and progressive she was/is. I love and appreciate good tools now and do a lot of DIY projects with my collection of tools.
Thanks! Sometimes I have to slow it down a little bit because I just keep buying more and more. I truly believe there's a level of fulfillment that comes from doing your own work. I have a house full of daughters and have them working with me all the time.
@@DarylTheFINISHER I understand the urge to acquire more tools! I have to pace myself too. I am so happy to hear that you are involving your girls in DIY. There is a great sense of accomplishment that comes from being able to complete DIY projects successfully. They’ll develop so many skills that will stay with them for life by learning from you.
