The Hang with the big low notes on it which Nadishana plays is so satisfying. I love every moment when he plays a different, unexpected note on it which completely changes the key and the feel of the tune for a couple of minutes at a time.
Agree. And I have a collection more then 300 instruments and they are not less amazing. You can play a coffee tin or your flower pot and it will turn to be an amazing instrument. And you can play your fancy expensive Hang and it can sound really poor and boring. All depends on how you play. I believe that amaziness consist of: 1)10% quality and properties of the instrument 2) 90% musicianship/creativity of the player.
Nadishana I’m sure the musical instrument you play right, handpan tarred inspiration from Gamelan, musical instruments traditional indonesia.Gamelan in the play right and in know right by Muslim scholars in indonesia thousands of years ago.Chek video indonesia Gamelan I’m sure you surprised.
Mr. Nadishana - this is an absolutely beautiful performance. Your sense of rythm, tone and harmony, all in collaboration with your friend, is truly inspiring. Thank you!
I thinks actually 100% how much enjoyment you get of playing it. I watch my daughter fool around making noise on a piano and she enjoys it just as much as enjoy jamming on the guitar or my hank drum.
"The PanArt Hang was invented in 2000 in Bern, Switzerland by Felix Rohner and Sabina Schärer. It is related to the Steeldrum from Trinidad and the word “Hang” means “hand” in Berndeutsch. As the name suggests, the hang is usually played with the hands and fingers. It has a central note which is called the “Ding” and there are 7 or 8 tone circles around it. The bottom side of the Hang is called the “Gu” side, and it can be played in a percussive way, similar to an Udu, or Ghatam drum."
I wish I could afford a few of these… so beautiful

i wish i was among the lucky few who have had the privilege and the pleasure of playing such a beautiful instrument, you play with such soul and feeling. Beautiful and inspirational as much of your music is :)
i can't answer for him, but for me ....having the instrument is my dream, since i play drum instruments (i'm not sure what they are called in English) it's just a piece of joy to me (the hang)
It's great to see how far handpan technology has come in terms of clarity and quality of sound. The old hang drum sounds like a rusty bucket by comparison to the new handpans.
Just had another genius thought for the evolution of this genre, how about different tips for your fingers, cloth, wood, ect to vary the sound, hard to master!
Unlikely to offer too much of a difference. The pans are tuned to a specific note. Hitting it with cloth on your hand wouldn't do much. Wood might, but I doubt that'd be a good sound. Metal on wood is kind of...harsh.
