That's called an anker or anchor. Its a memorie print made by sound, smell, tast...the more senses you set 'ON' the more the memory will be kept close by. Whenever a loved one passes, i set an anker with a song. And whenever i hear this song, where ever i am, i think of this special person 💖 sweet memories

I dislike assuming intent, but I believe Rumi was making the distinction between the individual sense of self and the idea that collectively we are all one. Understanding that we are no more important or special than anyone else opens our mind to a truer form of existence and a deeper empathy for all life. It allows us to cast off the constraints of the superficial culture in which we were raised and heightens our awareness of life itself by showing us that we are all connected in our struggle to find the path to enlightenment.

Sounds exactly like Indian classical music. Tabla and flute are definitely Indian. I encourage you to explore tabla by zakir hussein the maestro. I grew up listening to this kind of music so it immediately transports me back home☺️
