Docile? This plane is not docile! It is a well behaved plane the flies so accurately and smoothly that is it graceful in flight. It may be of high-wing configuration, but the Valiant is a Sports plane though and through. Instilling instant confidence on my maiden flight, I executed most aerobatic manoeuvres. With full power and flaps the take off can transition to unlimited vertical in a few metres. The 1.6 :1 thrust to mass ratio helps of course. Running 14x6 prop on LD4242-600kv motor through a 80Amp ESC from a 6S 3300mah LiPo. 6 to 7 mins flight time to 3.8v. I am well pleased with my Hangar-9 Valiant
I'm so happy you are enjoying yours, I only had a chance to fly my friends, once. Docile is in your thumbs, it was capable of so much more. I chose to fly it with mild acrobatics ( Not Mine ). This plane is an all around great aircraft. Enjoy many years with her.
I have this Spektrum RC Avian 4250 Brushless Outrunner Motor (800Kv). 900Watts, Spektrum RC Avian Lite 70-Amp Brushless Smart ESC w/IC3 Connector and Spektrum RC 4S Smart G2 LiPo 50C Battery Packs (14.8V/3200mAh) w/IC3 Connector. Do you think it would do well.
I really dont want to give my opinion as fact. If you look up the required parts for that bird and your close, you will be just fine. Thank you for the comment.
Yes, runtime will be affected, but his bird running a 5000 stays up for quite a while. You may even get alittle better performance with alittle less weight. Watch your firewall. His has come loose a few times. Reinforce the glue joins. Easy fix, great plane.
