HANGGLIDING RAMP TAKE OFF - BASSANO, ITALY 

My partner and I on an extended cycling jolly, about 25yrs ago, from Bergamo to the Dolomites and the northern lakes and mountains and ended up in Bassano, after pedalling from Venice, and pedalled that long road to the top of Monte Grappa. There was a lot of bloodshed in between the Austrians and Italians in WW1 and lots of evidence of their respective dugouts alongside the road. Terrific view at the top looking N to the dollies. The town (city?) of Bassano del Grappa is a fine place. Thanks for sharing the elevated view of the area from on high of that magnificent countryide.

Beauty, hope to fly there one day. That ramp looks exciting :) I use baseball batting gloves, they're very touchy/feely and feel great, of course bar mitts are needed if the air up there is cold as those are quite thin. If you'd permit a comment on landing technique (if not just tell me to shove it! LOL): I've seen many of your landings and it seems you're usually slowing down quite a bit before and while rocking up, then coming down to land with not much airspeed; this works fine for calm days, but if there is strong gradient or other issues you just won't have much authority on the glider as you're just about at trim speed. It's nice to come down and have enough evergy to spend some time in ground effect. Just my 2c, now I'll shut up! Have fun in the competition, sounds like a great time! Look forward to more videos.
