Peter Case, the Nerves bassist, went on to front the excellent Plimsouls, who wrote and recorded the legendary Power Pop classic "A Million Miles Away". Fun fact. Clem Burke of Blondie was the drummer for The Plimsouls on their 1998 reunion album "Kool Trash".

Excellent-Peter Case is one of music’s under appreciated geniuses. Now you have to do some Plimsouls songs. If there were any fairness in the World, the Plimsouls would have had careers to equal REM or U2

Brilliant. Love the Nerve’s original and love Blondie full stop. There’s not many really good lessons on RU-vid for them. I’d love to learn the solo from “Picture This” as well. There’s one guy doing a cover and I’ve slowed it down but still can’t nail it.

Great analysis Adrian. I've been playingthis cover for years and revisted it to better learn the implied chords which others don't show. Nice to see I worked out the solo right.

Nice. My band opened for Paul Collins a couple of times here in Pittsburgh back in the day. He's still touring, solo shows mostly. Our label, Get Hip, distributes his recordings.
