one of the best uses I have found for that small gas container is that I mix mine in a gallon jug, fill the hangkai engine up, then I fill that little tank and keep it on my boat for a "just in case" I run out of gas. Its small and easy to keep with you out of the way.
Thanks for all the good info on all your videos regarding this little motor, I just got one myself and will be taking it out for the first time today if the weather holds out.
+Topwolf Outdoors It started up on the third pull and idled well while I parked my truck/trailer, went about 300 feet and she stalled, restarted but stalled soon afterward. It was very windy and the wind was pushing us away from the dock area (no anchor) so we paddled back to the dock. I opened up the fuel tank and heard the sound of suction breaking, so I left the cap loose and tried it again. It started and got me 100 feet or so before she quit. It did push two of us (300Lbs together) 9foot aluminum Jon boat good enough while it was working. I'm gonna take off the cover and check the fuel hoses for kinks and check the spark plug. I was hoping for better for it's first time out, but still am looking forward to loving it. I don't like messing with carb adjustments, I do that last if need be. I did use premium gas & 2 cycle mix 30:1 & added ethanol treatment, no ethanol free gas around here.
+Warren Stenden (Western Rlty Srvc) I changed the plug from some no name to a NGK & widened the gap a little (I didn't measure), but what a difference it makes! It fires right up and smoother, too. The other thing I noticed is that it in NOT pushing water thru the cooling system. I pulled the hose off the cooling jacket while it was running and nothing came out. I know that these are basically air cooled engines with a water jacket on it, I'm wondering if I should worry too much about it not cooling like it should? I'll still look into the impeller and any blockages...
could I ask you a huge favor? I'm looking into getting one of these motors and was curious If I could get a measurement from you because there isn't one on ebay. What is the measurement from the base of the motor to the propeller? Or in other words, how long is the shaft? And what is approximately the weight of the motor? Thank you for all your help!
+Dallon Fritz if you check my other vid I did show some about the 9 min mark.. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lnpU5TRcbgg.html&index=2&list=PL9-LCGuw7zG1xTsiJJpsbuQ3uzvmhfslE I'll check and see what it weight as soon as I can and tell you.. thanks for watching... TW
+Topwolf Outdoors thank you so much. your videos have been more thank helpful and informing on this motor. I've looked everywhere else and you were the only one that had all the answers to the questions I needed. thank you!
Hi everyone hope this will help with fuel mixture: Hello Mr.Petrovski, Hope you everything goes well. This is Jason from China Coal Group, we have received your inquiry of two stroke boat engine. The gasoline engine oil blending ratio mean 30 liters fuel mixed with 1 liter two stroke oil. And demands, pls keep me posted, your kindly reply would be appreciated. Best regards, Jason
Probably a dumb blonde question. I followed all videos. Currently doing break in. Are air bubbles supposed to come out just above where the propeller goes??? It's kinda freaking me out.
No questions are dumb we all need some answers at some point and the bubbles yes you should have bubbles that means the water Port is clear and free of any debris have a super weekend thanks for watching
+Topwolf Outdoors I seen on your later videos you just used the trolling motor. I'm just taking that boat to go fishing nothing to big I'm not sure how the 3.5 will do but if you think that would be a good beginning motor for fishing for the 14ft boat I appreciate it or even something a little bigger like a 4 or 4.5
could we ask you a favor?? mixing the gas and oil for the first time only ?? ...how i use motor ran out. ..USE MIXING GAS AND OIL .. how we know because i bought motor but in bottle dont have mark line like you.. i got no idea.... thanks
I bought a lus hangkai july 29-2016 it runs but dies like it is hot.I can wait for a while and it will restart. Are they all like that or is there something wrong with it, ( jimmy plummer)
hello, I've been looking around and it looks like some get hot and some don't, so hard to say... it's been 100* here in Florida so have not been out.. hope to get back to fishing soon.. hope you can fix it...have a great week.. Donald
I have this same motor.. taken it out a few times, and have tried to tinker with it, as I find it stalls after a few minutes on throttle. The engine gets super hot so I think that is why it's stalling. After a few minutes of cooling down, it starts up again and runs for another few minutes. I have taken it apart and did not see anything blocking the water line that is supposed to keep it cool.. Took it out on the water again this weekend, and same issues. Advice??
+Ryan Young Hello... I'm not a motor mechanic .. took mine out the box and changed some things not much and mines been good so far .. be hard to say what it is but hope you can get it fixed if you do let us know how you did it..thanks have a good week .. Donald
Outboard- Rob what else 3.5hp motor can u recommend? Honda’s 4hp is $1500. It is too expensive. Other famous brands’ similar type of engine is also over $1200.
