Bryan Danielson is my favorite signing in AEW history. He has successfully filled the gap after the departures of Cody Rhodes and CM Punk. He is a modern day Ace in Wrestling and the Shawn Michaels of this Generation.

I wouldn't say he filled that gap, since nobody could fill that gap, they were both close to Danielson's level and two of the best AEW ever had, and both should still be here, and losing them was the two biggest mistakes AEW ever made. Also, Danielson is way better than Shawn Michaels. He isn't the new anybody, he is the first and only Brian Danielson.

Not a hater or anything, but it seems AEW likes to give out a lot of matches that should have been on a ppv. For some examples there was this match, Edge vs Christian I quit match, Cody Rhodes vs Sammy Guevara ladder match, Samoa Joe vs Minoru Suzuki, FTR vs Bullet Club Gold, Bryan Danielson vs Kenny Omega, CM Punk vs MJF (yes I know they had a ppv match but before that one they had a 45 minute match on Dynamite a few weeks before that ppv), ect. But hey, I’ll take a free ppv match on tv rather than pay an extra $60.00 to buy a ppv.

I wasn't expecting Bryan to win but this is still great. If Bryan is going to retire then this is a good way to go out. After him then we get Hangman and Swerve. I am enjoying the unhinged Hangman. It's compelling and justified. The more he waits to get his shot at Swerve the more unhinged he becomes.

Afterwards, a pummeled Nigel takes to the ring and issues a lawsuit Bryan and AEW, threatening the latter to take action against the former, which leads Bryan to appear and make a rebuttal, only for Nigel to reveal that he came prepared for Bryan appearing in front of him, as [Insert wrestler here] comes out and beats Bryan up. From there, it builds up to a match between Bryan and [Insert wrestler here], where if Bryan wins, Nigel will be forced to dropped the lawsuit against Bryan, and if [Insert wrestler here] wins, Bryan will either be suspended indefinitely or fired from AEW.

That final sequence at the end (Surprise Roll-Up to Labell Lock to Deadeye, Kick Out, Buckshot Lariat, counter to Bridge w/ pin, right into a Cross-Face and eventually roll-up pin) was a think of beauty! Solid 4 3/4 star match.

This was the way to go. Bryan is ending his career full time this year so we get to have him go out with a bang at Wembley. Swerve holds the title longer before he drops it to Hangman to end their rivalry. And Hangman aligns with the Elite to eventually bring the title into that heel faction. All shaping up nicely

So now the question is, will Nigel cost Bryan the title at All In? To be honest I'd rather Bryan wins the title at All In this year and then Nigel challenges him to a match at next years All In. Whatever happens at All In. I am glad he won something in AEW, he deserves it.
