Hangzhou, referred to as "Hangzhou", known as Lin'an, Qiantang and Wulin in ancient times, is one of the six ancient capitals of prefecture-level cities, provincial capitals, sub-provincial cities, megacities, and six ancient capitals under the jurisdiction of Zhejiang Province, the core city of Hangzhou metropolitan area, the economic, cultural, scientific and educational center of Zhejiang Province approved by the State Council, and one of the central cities of the Yangtze River Delta. Hangzhou is located in East China, the north of Zhejiang Province, the lower reaches of the Qiantang River, between 29°11'~30°34'N, 118°20'~120°37'E, belongs to the subtropical monsoon climate, the four seasons are distinct, the rainfall is abundant, the western part of the city belongs to the hilly area of western Zhejiang, and the eastern part belongs to the northern plain of Zhejiang. Hangzhou is the central city of the G60 Science and Technology Innovation Corridor and the core city of the Greater Bay Area around Hangzhou Bay approved by the Zhejiang Provincial Government.
Hangzhou is the first batch of national historical and cultural cities, the birthplace of the famous scholarly family Hangzhou Li family, known as the "southeast famous county", the excavation of the cross-lake bridge site shows that more than 8,000 years ago, there were human beings living here. More than 5,000 years ago, the Liangzhu culture was known as the "dawn of Chinese civilization".
