He played Kawliga and pulled the bass players cowboy hat off and ran the fiddle bow through it and threw it in the crowd and a fight broke out about 100 feet wide in a circle.
Look into it. there's a video here on RU-vid wheres he sings is daddy songs and dam good, he's young Its yrs before he went outlaw. His voice is way different he sings his daddy Style
@@wildestcowboy2668 i hear you. And it may not be obvious because the textures are so different but I’ll swear to my ear he can sing as high as Ricky Skaggs and as low as Richard Sterban. Jones is another with a deceptively broad range, but not as much as HWJ.
Tom Arnold I have to agree with you. Old country is the best instead of the new school country. I only listen to the legends of country. If they put something new out, I will listen. But if it's a new artist, forget about it.
I saw Hank Jr New Years Eve the same year as this concert,83 in Birmingham Alabama. Was called The Hank Williams Jr Rocking New Years Eve Party...lol..ole Hank got so drunk that he sounded like shit and because of the boos he finally walked off stage...lol..have seen him a couple of times since and the shows were AWESOME
Hank JR is the biggest star country music has seem since his daddy more less invented it. Hank is 3x bigger than his daddy, garth and George strait. Idc what the record sales say.
This is good. I figured out what happened. Merle Kilgore got old and couldn't manage him anymore. Then of course he died. He was the ring master. He hasn't been the same since.
I was there Hank fan since family tradition seen him for the first time country club Reseda,Ca.met him and Mr.Kilgore backstage universal amphitheater I got a story I'm going to tell about that on Facebook I met them just for a few seconds of my life for so much happened in those few seconds something I'll never forget thanks Hank and like they say you do live out those songs you wrote God bless you Merle you had one hell of a job watching that guy
1 thing hank never really cared about, his live guitar tone. man, there's not a bigger hank fan (check my channel for proof), but his live tone is always awful.
@@ROBINKCOX I’ve seen it. It was when you could smoke in the studio and I remember him lighting up when they went to commercial. That’s so bizarre to see today.
@@trishrobinson5556 You're right, I watch alot of those old Letterman and Carson interviews and it is weird to see them smoking!! It seems a little insensitive to make a comment about seeing his eyes when you know that he only has one real eye. It's obviously a sensitive issue with him since he hasn't been seen without his shades in 47 years. It would have been devastating for anyone but imagine what a two year setback would be like for a man, a celebrity since his birth, who was finally comfortable in his own skin on the verge of his own success - not sure if he was ever gonna be able to talk, sing, or even want to be in the public eye ever again. In a strange way though, it was a blessing in disguise. His new look separated him once and for all from his former self. I think he's a miracle and by far the coolest m***** f***** on the planet 🙂
@@ROBINKCOX I wasn’t being insensitive. That wasn’t my intention. I also think he’s cool and I’ve been a fan since I was a kid. TBH, I forget sometimes that he’s been injured because he plays it off so well, and makes it so cool. I made the remark before I thought about it sounding insensitive.
Yes kids, there really used to be a place called America. But once they drove Dixie down they drove it all down. Thank you brother John for the bull's-eye! 🎯 RIP🙏❤
