The Hillbilly Shakespeare. One of the pillars American music is built upon. Listen to him sing "My Son Calls Another Man, Daddy." It will make you cry.

Great reaction enoma! This recording was from October 1949 when Hank was 26 yrs old. He would pass away at the age of 29.

Jr is awesome and Hank the 3rd. Has that out law streak of his grandfather. A lot of mainstream didn't like Hank Sr and his antic's at the time.

No mouth organ. Just a base guitar making the “drum sound”, a steel guitar and a fiddle. And Hank was keeping time with a rhythmic thump (there were no drums in early country music.$

In Hank's time, you had to have a good singing voice to make it. Hank not only sang great, but he was a great song writer. He wrote most of his songs.
