This video shows trains arriving, departing, and passing through Shojaku Station on the Hankyu Kyoto Line during the weekday evening rush hour (from 5:30pm to 8pm). The video also shows semi-express and semi-express trains passing through, local (local) Hankyu trains stopping at every station, and trains on the Osaka Metro Sakaisuji Line (66 series), which share tracks with the station.
The station has two island platforms and four tracks, with Shojaku Depot next to it. Lines 2 and 3 go to Kawaramachi, Kyoto, and Lines 4 and 5 go to Umeda and Tengachaya, Osaka. Line 1, which has no platform and is connected to the tracks of Shojaku Depot, is next to Line 2.
A local train bound for Shojaku (66 series, stops at this station) from Tengachaya arrives on Line 2, but is sent back to Awaji, and enters the Osaka Metro depot.
The video also shows trains arriving and departing for service on Line 5. This is a return service of Osaka Metro 66 series cars bound for Ibaraki City to the depot (Higashi Suita Depot), and a return service of Hankyu cars bound for Takatsuki City to Mojaku Depot.
When Hankyu cars arrive at Line 5, they move forward until they pass the crossing on the main line and stop, then turn around and enter Mojaku Depot.
Because trains stop on the Osaka Umeda side of the platform for Line 2 compared to Line 3 due to the depot, the platform extends longer towards Osaka Umeda.
The video alternates between filming from the platform for the Osaka Umeda/Tengachaya direction and the platform for the Kyoto Kawaramachi direction.
