I love so many movies, old and recent. But I can honestly say the one clip I have watched the most on youtube is this one. A short story/film in and of itself of two people looking for relief from severely troubled times, they visit the church late at night, not for a service, but Kip has a surprise for Hanna. She is hoisted to view the frescoes. All this accompanied by flawless and beautiful music.
I know it's been 7yrs..but I just now came across this movie..the "clips".I wasn't paying much attention during those years..to movies per se as I had health issues for several years..but recovering..I have missed this gem of a movie..didn't think it were possible anymore to make Great One's anymore! The love scene's were so moving..less is more..just like reading a book..your heart n soul captures things in one's mind that movies can't. But The English Patient is a hauntingly beautiful story with twist n turns..a Masterpiece imho..actors were perfect! Ty for posting!
Please? who knows the name of church on 1:00 min. I know that frescos by Pietro della Franchesco in Arezzo's the Basilica of San Francesco - BUT this is not this basilica! this is another church.
i MISS this kind of romantic and epic stories in the big screen....now all is vulgar, simple, political agenda. We need more of this, true cinema. Like in 50s
