What's even crazier is the amount of people who walked by ,gave looks but not one stopped to offer help to what really looked like a hopeless mom. I was that mom at 17 & it was very sad how many people judged but did not help!! I'm 26 now and i always stop and offer help to everyone who seems like they might need it.
@lizacrochets98
@lizacrochets98 9 месяцев назад
Thats because it obviously looks like one of those projects. The baby stuff is all toys and not real and the cry is fake sounding. From just walking by you would know that it wasn't a real baby .as well as they are obviously vlogging and not everyone wants to be recorded or be around that . Alot of reasons I can go on to why people didn't stop .

I had one of those babies for class in HS but got a defective one 😅 it started crying and never stopped once for a whole weekend. My parents eventually had to wrap it in a bunch of blankets to muffle the sound and stuck it in our crawl space. My teacher couldn’t apologize enough when I went back to school 🤣 I ended up redoing the project with one that actually worked!

Mine was defective too.. but it was the opposite of yours.. it didn't cry once.. I got 100% since it didn't show it was defective I didn't have to re do it thankfully. Lol

As difficult as it was for Hannah, she put a lot of care & stress into making things right for the baby. Unfortunately people do sometimes stare or make comments when your baby cries, real baby or not but you have to ignore & know that you're doing great. Hannah is going to make a great mom someday but when the time is right. Ariana will also make a great mom & from what I saw, a great aunty! She was willing to help care for the baby & all moms can definitely use that kind of support. That was definitely a great learning experience for both girls!! When Hannah forgot to swipe the chip bracelet thingy & the baby was crying harder & harder, I couldn't help but laugh. Everyone's expression was priceless. Which brings me to mention, laughing in time of stress can also do wonders. A crying baby doesn't have to be stressful. Take a deep breath, relax. Babies feed off of our energy. If we get overwhelmed, they do to. So try not to panic & care for baby as calmly as possible knowing that when they cry, they are okay. It's just their only way of communicating a need.

All 3 of my children had these dolls in middle school. They named them and did not refer to them as “it”. My daughters had a tough time with the “mommy” roll. But we did have fun. We went to Walmart with “Andrew”. They had a pony outside and we got in line and took his picture on the pony. My son on the other hand had no problem. He went to the thrift store and bought a diaper bag. He had it packed with clothes, snacks and other baby needs. He took him to baseball practice and tended to all his needs. I never heard him cry. My son never needed anyones help. I think he loved “daddyhood” a lot. He has 4 kids now. Hope Hannah was able to realize things about herself and it was a good experience

We did that first we had to be pregnant for a week before adding beans to our belly porch every day then the baby was here and we had to make our beans into a baby and place the egg on there heads. We also had a similar baby to the one Hannah had only difference is we had keys that went to ours that told us what baby needed and our teacher attached them to our arm so that no one else could help us.

omgosh this took me back. I WAS a teenage mom and yes, the time feeding, trying to figure out why she would not stop crying, changing many many diapers 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week and everything else it takes to look after a baby is both mentally and physically demanding and exhausting. You did a great job Hannah. Those feels that you felt are real and very much a reality for many new mothers no matter if they are a teenager or a full on adult. I am happy that those classes exist but honestly, it would have still been too late for me. I was a 14 year pregnant child and a mom at 15. I am now a 52 year old mom of 3 and a proud Nana of 2.5 precious Grandchildren

I think this is a great lesson that honestly needs to be at the end of middle school and then high school as well. We had to just use our own dollars,etc so it was much easier but we also had to do all the cost breakdown. I think this is a great class that should be in all schools with the programmed baby, requirement to assess the costs, and then also to figure out how you will handle the finances (are you getting a job, do you have someone to take care of the baby while you’re at the job,etc)

I totally agree with Gwaycee above. Babies are adorable but they are also a lot of work requiring 24 hour care. I thought no every high school should have a program like this so that students can get an appreciation of how responsible a parent has to be with a child. Also, babysitting is a good way to get used to handling and caring for an infant/ toddler/ older child. Hannah did a great job and Ariana was a wonderful help with the “baby”too❤❤❤

If I saw a teen in the store with their electronic baby, I would be thinking good for you learning how to care for a baby. So many teens make choices that put them in situations that effect them for the rest of their lives. Knowing what you are getting into will help you in the future. Good for you taking baby to the store with you, not that you had a chice😂. Oh and congrats on your first unsolicited advice from random strangers telling you how to take care of your baby. People think they know what is best for a random stangers kid. I have been guilty of putting in my two since.

I got an A in the class. Whereas some failed the assignment cause their plant didn't grow. Plus in the class, some of us selected students had to develop a "public service commercial" about teen pregnancy which would be aired on tv.

Not fun being a mom. It’s just like babysitting. 😂 stressful times. You just never know what the baby wants or needs. Good job on getting 95% on it. Hugs💕💕

I remember doing this at my alternative high school where troubled teens and teen parents. So when I did it I had the baby and I also had my friends 1 year old daughter with me so I was watching both for a whole weekend and let’s just say that worked for me till I was 19 lol then I got pregnant

I remember doing this in high school my first one I had over a 3 day weekend had to take it to church and everything my 2nd one was for extra credit and was a drug exposed one for one night that one was hard it went off every 30 minutes that night I got very little sleep. It’s a great experience I wish they still did at the high schools here my kids go to school in the same town I did. Great job with your baby Hannah.

uhhhhhh I remember when I have to do this for school too, hahahaha I had twins a girl and a boy and it was a really no joke experience, hahahaha seeing Hannah not knowing what to do when the baby doll started crying hahahaha I was the same, one time both babies cry when I was in class so I have to step outside and calm them down until the sensor finally quiet down it was a real experience, sending love to all Mom's and dad's out there ❤

I had my first child right before i turned 19. He was a screamer. It was a very stressful time. It was difficult going anywhere. I was a single parent. He's 32 now but this video sure brings back those memories

OH goodness I remember these babies from when I was in school. I thought I had a good baby but boy was I mistaken. I had to take it home on a Friday night. It snowed so we got out of school early. Then I was suppose to take it back to school on Monday morning BUT I ended up getting sick over the weekend so I wasn't able to go back to school till Tuesday. So I had it all that time and me thinking it was a "good" "quiet" baby went right out the window. She would only cry at night and for hours. So with me being so sick and also having to deal with this "baby" wow it really showed me that I was no where close to being ready to be a Mommy LOL. I really think these should be in every school but I know some that can't because of the cost.

I took child development in high school and had to take a baby home over the weekend and ended up having it an extra day due to school getting called off for a snowstorm.

being a mom is so rewarding, but so stressful. I had to do the same thing in highschool and I loved taking care of my baby for the class. I ended up getting a 97 as my grade. We even had to wear a fake pregnancy belly in 3rd trimester during school hours before the taking baby home too, which was hard. Now here I am at age 26 as a FTM with a almost 10 month old and loving every moment, the good and the bad
