Very nice interview , Hannah is down to earth and honest and a excellent player of course , Eric you said one thing about the gift of virtuosity, yes Hannah has it , I ve been chasing it for years , I always believed enough time and proper practice anyone can play to high level , im realizing maybe not so ,that said we can all play well and listenable music
@@AlanMcCarthyguitar thank you - as a person who has played and studied and have worked with and met so many i do believe its a set of variables and circumstances that makes one a virtuoso - but i am ok with that, maturity has given me sight. playing is my passion regardless of my level at this time, just happy to play and meet al these wonderful people.
one thing I`ve learned with regard to perfect pitch is that it is something you can train your ear to approach..I tune my guitar to a tuning fork primarily..when I use a meter it helps to not look at the meter when I`m turning the key..it is possible to work out little exercises to try to get closer by not using either
Hannah's performance of Elegie by Mertz is my favorite guitar performance ever. And because she emphasized this piece in particular AND she pruchased a lute recently I would love to hear some Silvius Leopold Weiss from her. I know she does not take requests but I can imagine she would love pieces lice the Chaconne in F#minor or Chaconne in B Minor.
