Coming to LA off the back of a massive 12 months, Wants is currently one of the biggest up-and-coming names on the UK house scene. Born and raised in Birmingham, her brand of bass-heavy house has been storming clubs everywhere from Ibiza to LA. Her releases with fellow Brummy Chris Lorenzo on labels such as Food Music, Ultra and Dirtybird have formed the core of a scene that’s spreading quickly.
She’s passing through LA as part of AC Slater’s NightBass tour with Jack Beats and will join us for a little sunset session in our Hollywood location.

Im in love with her for what effects she added to kneadin.The track is so powerful that everybody moved ,Hannah knew what she was doing.And goddamnt it i loved all the tracks here too. Amazing mix.

I apologize to all the Brits out there for my American brothers during this set. Not dancing, on their phones. This is quite typical in both music festivals and clubs. Drives me out of my fucking mind. I can't wait to come back to the UK to return to Fabric, Ministry, and Sankeys (not sure how its spelled exactly)

eric j I'm from Canada and I can't wait to finally be able to legally go clubbing in the UK this summer. I visit often since my family's from there, but now that I'm older I can finally enjoy the music scene. So pumped for this summer. Any particular places I should check out? I'll be all over the UK (birmingham, manchester, london, etc).

KREAMdawg Definitely Rainbow venues birmingham (Hannah wants was resident DJ there), Stealth, Nottingham. Fabric, London. Warehouse project, Manchester. (to name a few)

KREAMdawg The English will tell you to go to Manchester. Sanky's is one of the oldest and most famous venues with a very mature crowd. If you are in central London, you can't go wrong with Ministry of Sound, although Ministry is a bit more "mainstream" if that bothers you, as they usually host bigger artists. Fabric is more Drum n Bass, but I highly recommend the Fabric experience at least once at it is absolute insanity!!! (but a bit crowded). You can't hear or see anything in Fabric besides lasers, smoke, and straight ear-shattering bass. I couldn't hear for two days after a night in Fabric. On popular nights with bigger artists, show up a bit early or you will be waiting outside for awhile to get in. There are dozens upon dozens of other underground clubs that the English can clue you in on.

eric j Thanks so much man I really appreciate the suggestions! I'll definitely check out Fabric. Depending on who's playing at Ministry while I'm there I may check it out too. Everyone always raves on about how great the Manchester scene is so I'll have to ask some of my uni friends out there when I visit and I'll to hit up Sanky's too. I'm just stoked to see some of my favourite artists (hopefully they'll be in or around town) like Shadow Child, Cause n Affect (or Chris Lorenzo), Hot Since 82, etc.

can't that ("easy") exactly be fun too sometimes? I had SL1200's when tracks still had to be matched with an analog pitch slider. I sometimes loved the tracks that didn't were hard to bpm-match.

I started throwing raves back in 1999 in Kamloops BC because I got sick of the same old same old. This was gradually getting to the peak of the rave scene in Canada (2001) and then it all went to the clubs. During those parties people connected either through their dance moves, eye contact and any other means an animal would. Once in a while there would be some crappy photos that were circulate but that's about it. Even some raves were destination parties, meaning you show up a mall somewhere and there would be someone there that would tell you the next spot to go to, then the next spot would tell you where the party was. Completely underground, in some sort of abandoned warehouse or in some cases a tunnel on the side of a highway. Yep, that actually happened. The promotors blocked the highway off with fake traffic cones, the dj stage was in the back of a cube van which meant instant party. Above all, no phones, no social media just stories.

Decent tunes but is this what the world has come to? Bobbing heads and staring at your phone? I've been out of the club scene for nearly ten years, but where's the atmosphere and enthusiasm? Amateur dj comment but @26 mins why not loop the vocal?the cross fade to the bass (next track) is so quick after a good mix but could have kept this going for so much longer. Love a long mix
