Nathan N2 Probably because two bass drum setup looks cooler. And there is a slight difference between playing double bass pedal and two pedals so he is probably used to playing double bass pedal, but not sure

@@Philipp.of.Swabia i'm a german and Meinl is a german brand so i thought this are the best cymbals and don't liked sabian at the beginning. But to be honest sabian cymbals sounds better for me.

Forelle20 haha ich bin auch deutsch, ich finde dass Meinl die beste Firma ist, aber die classics custom extreme metal Becken sind halt trash meiner Meinung nach, selbst für Metal viel zu fett, man muss im Metal ja hauptsächlich schnell spielen, da diese Becken aber sehr fett sind muss man mehr Kraft verwenden damit sie richtig klingen, und das heist dass man auch schneller Kraft verliert, nicht gerade geeignet für Metal meiner Meinung nach, passt eher zum Spiel Style von Vinnie Paul und Lars Ulrich, da diese meistens sehr langsam aber hart spielen/spielten. Aber wenn ich andere Becken als Meinl benutzen würde würde ich auch definitiv für sabian plädieren.

Pacifica has almost got it right. This fill starts with 4 strokes with the hand followed by 2 kicks, repeated three times, ending on a snare/cymbal

As anguish said - 4 strokes anywhere with the hands followed by two kicks, should be in double triplet speed ("sixlets"). Listen to any Slipknot song for examples, they use them all over the place.

I would say most guys I have worked with nowadays have this approach. They have a double pedal and use only one kick and the other kick drum is just for the looks. The feeling of playing is the same but it's easier for the sound engineer. It also gives flexibility in the placement of drums because you don't actually have to be able to reach the other kick drum.

Haha you're to first one to mention that. By the time of that show Hannes was very close to leave for his paternity leave from the tour and Twilight Force drummer was filling in for those shows. To be fully prepared he was playing as ghost behind the kit with practice pad and pedals.
