Mads has a slight palatal lisp. First I thought it was just danish being his native tongue (because it does have rather short and closed vowels), but after listening to other danish people talking, I realised it was actually a lisp. And on top of that he tends to under-articulate. He said himself once that it drove his teachers at acting school insane, I quote: "trying to teach him how to talk so that other people could understand him."

Of course it's not our place to speculate and all that but ... yeah, you are not the only one in thinking that way 😅 I think part of it is the fact that Mads is such an attentive listener. It's those stares that linger a little too long. And the rest of it is pure projection from our side. Somebody else might throw those affectionate glances at their friends but I certainly don't and that's why to me it looks as if something is up between these two. Ah to be a fly on the wall 😇
I like to think that Mads and Hugh and partially attracted to each other in real life, even though they are both happily married to their wives. Is my delusion showing? 😅
You mean kiss their wives in real life! Hanne Jacobsen married to Mads Mikkelsen since 2000 and Claire Danes to Hugh Dancy since 2009 nothing wrong with being gay but you can't make people gay or straight just because you want them to be. Sorry to be the reality police!
@@zharapatterson I know what you mean. I've seen and read a lot sigh. As much as I know the fun of 'pairing' Mads and Hugh because these two have beautiful chemistry IRL and on the show, but shipping them is just wrong.
