still probably in my top 3 of favourite action movies; mainly because Ed Harris is amazing and the sound track.

What an anthem. Notice from 0.21 how his French horn accompaniment behind the melody moves from closed position chords to more spread out harmony. Majestic. Zimmer puts a musical ring in the nose of the audience and tugs expertly.

I really don't know what it is, but the militaristic sound of the trumpets really gets me feeling patriotic. Thanks Hans Zimmer.

the only thing i dislike about this movie, is that when you look it up, instead of finding the movie, it gives you the wwe the rock results, instead of the movie.

Running to this music is the best thing ever. You feel like you're rushing to stop a bomb from going off.

"Congressman Weaver and esteemed members of the Special Armed Services Committee, I come before you to protest a grave injustice." as a former Cavalry officer of 7 years, one of the hardest things is loosing men and women under your command, you feel like its your fault, and to some degree....it is. they followed your orders and those orders cost good folks their lives. something they were willing to give already, but it doesnt make it any less painful. but what would have made it unbearable is if none of those men and women under my command had been recognized for the Honor, Bravery and Valor they brought to my unit. i can honestly say i understand Hummel's motives. no matter what, Men and Women of the armed forces who pay the ultimate price deserve to have their deeds known to some degree. even if their mission was of the highest secrecy, the families deserve some form of closure, of assurance that their son or daughter didnt sacrifice their life for nothing. but enough of my ramblings, im just a Cav scout who wishes he could turn back time and correct mistakes he's made and bring home peoples sons and daughters who have more worth than me.

1:28 hairs stand up, goosebumps, every single time. The movie does a great job to make understand the main antagonist. Let down and abandoned by the very entity you were trying to protect... Forsaken... Abandoned... Nothing you can do except avenge... Revenge

If anyone is a FF fan or a fan of VIII, little fun fact but the part of the song at 4:28 is similar to the original track to the Raid on Dollet in the demo. They had to change it so they didn't get sued. The new version The Landing, is similar but not as on the nose lol.

MY dad have a cd with all the soundtrack from this movie he love to play it out loud... sometimes, my mom is mad on him because of this, but i like it ! Bests movies of 1990 .

While I don't mind Michael Bay, I always felt the content in this movie deserved more than a Michael Bay treatment. There's so much in this story that they just pay basic lip service to. There also needs to be a prequel of the John Mason character's backstory.

In my opinion, the best action movie of all time, NO sorry THE BEST movie of all time. In my opinion of course XD just the theme music makes me shiver like hell.

Hans Zimmer and Harry Gregson-Williams brought me here. I'm so glad they later went on to compose music for comic book superhero films

This theme was most possibly written by Nick Glennie-Smith , not Zimmer. If you listen to 'Man in the Iron Mark' by Nick Glennie-Smith you will realize it's him.
