I've always had a question on how long it takes / how you write your lyrics? Rewatching this project made me think of it again. What sorts of concepts do you think about when writing? Do you do them separate to the music and fit the lyrics afterwards? It really sounds like you do sometimes and it works insanely well.
Fo almost all songs i write i will notate a vocal line in MIDI first and then listen to it over and over until i feel like i can imagine which words feel natural over it. Sometimes I’ll get an idea and try to fit it in with the amount if syllables i have available, but i tend to let the sound of the music dictate the vibe and topic of the lyrics (`:
