for over a year I was in love with my best friend/first love did nothing but be there for him when I shouldn't have even when he hurt me every time. girl... this has me in tears. i went through a break up (he ended it) last year and found out later he had cheated while with me anyway... it hurt like nothing i’ve ever felt but i realized it was his loss because i was always the one there for him and confiding in him and supporting him. he was emotionally and verbally abusive but i was too blinded to notice. now, i am in a relationship with someone who not only knows my worth, but treats me as if i am the only girl in the entire world and he is the most genuine person i have ever met. i hope you have found or you will eventually find someone just as great as my current boyfriend because you deserve to feel appreciated and loved for YOU and not for how someone wants you to be. you deserve to be wanted and not left in the dust. much love to you💖

I wish I was with someone happier... it’s been 2 years and sometimes I still feel like I’m not good enough and I push ppl away, even tho it’s only been a month we have been together I felt so broken... I even wrote songs abt her... by this exact song! Not same lyrics obviously but this one specifically touched my heart😭 and also my parents don’t know the hidden truth either... since I’ve never told her I was dating a girl... I just want to forget abt her but I just can’t... for 2 whole years not telling anyone and just keeping it all to myself... it ain’t easy, I wish she learned that cheating is not okay and will not solve any problems...

I first saw this shortly after it came out, when my Ex and I were still together. I could only imagine the pain. Wellll here I am, the one I loved so dearly cheated on me and left. Blamed everything on me and made me feel like shit. But the Joke’s not on me. It’s on him. He lost me. The person that loved him with all of their heart. I just met someone that makes me laugh and forget all the pain I’ve ever been through in my life. That took away my fear of being hurt again. And everything that happened was so worth it.
