The achievements of the Soviets continue to give me inspiration and motivation! As Stalin said "The transition from capitalism to Communism, must not be regarded as fleeting period of 'super-revolutionary' acts and decrees, but as an entire historical era, replete with ... advances and retreats, victories and defeats" We are still in that era and have many more victories to achieve so keep fighting comrades!
As always, great content, and a great telling of Soviet history in an accessible format for those who don’t know these things. Thank you for all you do. RU-vid needs more of this. There is far too much reactionary content and disinformation on RU-vid, and your videos give us a break from that. Please keep them coming. This is one of my favorite RU-vid channels!
@@yamisa8059 harhar... 🙄 Really bringing something new to the table there... You might wanna look at the length of time there was food insecurity vs the amount of time there was food security. You might learn a thing or two.
Thank you for making this video. I really need inspiration. Americans are so completely unaware of how backwards capitalism is. The average person is still living in the 1980's. It's hard to be in the world sometimes.
What's ironic and funny is that Karl Marx did not think Russia would be one to have a communist society as he viewed Russia as being too backwards. Imagine his surprise when Russia was the first.
lady izdihar how are you ? , have you Dhofar War it happened in oman and i want you to look through the story and i hope you like it. AND AM A HUGE FAN
I hope you can find your motivation to post more regularly again, no matter the form it comes in. I’ve just gotten into your content thanks to the deprogram and am really enjoying it so far. I generally support Marxism-Leninism on a pragmatic basis, so looking at people’s videos that actually document the objective improvements communism brought to nations that adopted it (as well as the plentiful supply of capitalisms failures) has really opened my eyes and earned my support for the movement. Your videos have instilled a deeper emotional connection to the movement and the cultures surrounding it than I had previously, so thank you for your work comrade. Whatever form your content takes in the future, you’ll definitely earn my viewership.
Thank you, comrade ❤️🔥🙏 red salute for all you do and all that contribute to our collective knowledge in our movement. My partner and I loved hearing make a triumphant return on the deprogram as well! You smashed it with your contributions and perspectives on the topic of misogyny, anti-Palestinian bigotry, and orientalism. As a Korean-okinawan Japanese American from a very whute US state, I can only say what the imperial core and the USA propaganda apparatuses have been deploying to de humanize our Falastini family is all too familiar and is absolutely just a remix of remix, nothing new. But I’m very happy and inspired to see and hear from Allies such as yourself uplift and signal boast the perspective of the oppressed during such times of extreme crisis for our family in Gaza and all of Palestine/Palestinian diaspora. Спасибо, моя сестра❤️🇷🇴🙏🇰🇵🇯🇵❤️
Hi October Revolition is heavily covered in our history book. Every world history book contains this sentence,"The firing cannon of October Revolution bring Marx-Leninism to China"
Hey everyone! I'm new to this channel (remembered to check it out after hearing it on the deprogram podcast) and it's awesome!! But I'm specifically interested in how Georgian culture/language was treated under the USSR, because my community is convinced the soviets erased Georgian culture. Could anyone point me to one of Izdihar's videos or some other content that could elaborate on that?
I have come across an object in my grandfather's house which is mysterious to me, and I thought maybe you might have insight into the nature of what it means. It is like a painted wooden plaque, in the shape of a paddle, which is covered in beautiful painted flowers and has the word "Olypiad-8" or possibly "Olypiad-8C" written at the bottom. I recently discovered the "translate" option ony phone camera and this is the translation it gave. I don't know how to include a phot in the comments here but I have narrowed it down to likely being associated with either the 1980 summer Olympics held in Moscow OR is related to the famous Soviet math Olympiads. I'm curious if this style of wall plaque is a pretty common art style and if you've run across anything like it in your research. Great video as always!
Read State and Revolution. The state only withers away when there's no class that could try to sabotage and invade socialist countries. The state arises when there's classes.
That's only in what Marx called "higher-stage communism", but because of the imperialist system (which had not observably matured in Marx's lifetime), no one has even properly made it to "lower-stage communism". There is no reason to expect the state to wither away in a backward peripheral agrarian society that is attempting to manage the growth of its productive forces through something corresponding to a capitalist phase. I believe the CPC is officially planning to progress to what it understands as lower-stage communism sometime in the middle of this century, if all goes well.
@@rsavage-r2v The lower stage of communism is what is (correctly) commonly referred to today (and for a long time) as socialism. The correct conception of socialism being a system based on collective ownership of the means of production. The higher stage of communism is what is referred to today as "full communism." More than one country did achieve the lower phase of communism, i.e., socialism. The USSR was one of them. Socialism was achieved under the leadership of Stalin et al. during the first two Five Year Plans. This was unfortunately undone by revisionist leadership. Khrushchev and his clique started the undoing of socialism in the USSR; Gorbachev et al. finished that undoing. This is a simplified version, but largely accurate. Imo (and also in the opinion of like - all anti-revisionists), there is no real indication the CPC will somehow bring about socialism in 2050 or whatever. There's no real indication of that, but plenty to suggest the opposite. The modern CPC is well beyond revisionist, and it has been for a long time. You think their deeply entrenched bourgeoisie (that they have allowed to become so entrenched, even to the point of capitalists occupying high posts in the ""CPC"") wants socialism? Or would just let them do that? Not that there's anything really suggesting the CPC (at the very least the leadership) wants socialism in the first place. It's a little funny that you won't give, for example, the USSR credit for actually having achieved socialism, but think the modern CPC is moving towards socialism in any meaningful way. Just saying.
Can you talk about how the genocidal fascist Republican government massacred leftists, students and their own population, whilst deliberately flooding them and destroying their food supply and maintaining neo-feudalism between the landlords and peasants?
What is a socialist revolution The right to an eight-hour working day. For the first time in human history. Equal rights for men and women - for the first time in human history. The right to annual paid leave. For the first time in human history. Including the right to paid maternity leave, which is still unthinkable in most countries (paid leave for pregnant women, in Soviet times this was 112 days before childbirth and 56 days after childbirth). The impossibility of dismissing an employee without the consent of the trade union organization. Right to work. Graduates of vocational educational institutions had the right to compulsory employment in the labor field with the provision of free housing in the form of a dormitory or apartment. For the first time in the history of mankind - the right to free general and vocational education. This is still unthinkable for most of humanity. Thanks to the revolution, huge masses of the peasant and proletarian population received rapid access to culture and science, rapidly giving the country and the world incredible results. The right to free medical care. For the first time in the world.
Yeah right that's why when the USSR was illegally dissolved...... GDP fell by 50%, Life expectancy dropped by 10 years, Violent crime reached an all time high, Drug addiction reached an all time high, everyone lost every penny they had to their names, and they still have never recovered. But yes, so glad they ended "evil communism". Capitalism has done wonders for Russia!
