Brian Johnson is the original singer for this song. He was recruited to the band after Bon Scott passed away. This was the first album they made with Brian in tribute to Bon hence the album title "Back In Black"
A sliver of credit to Ike & Tina's "Nutbush City Limits" which is the song they did jammed on when Brian auditioned for the gig and it's sort of the bedrock of his vocals during that era.
I knew about the singers but I didn't know about the title, wow that's a tribute that will be remembered for the ages. Back in Black is an amazing album.
Once bon scott told his band mates if something ever happened to him he wants Brian Johnson to be the lead singer of the band. Sadly he passed and they got brian as their lead singer.
AC DC rocks! I grew up listening to them, they will always be my favorite band. I'll be going back and watching your other ACDC videos, I'm glad you like them.
Don't forget...it is the 40th anniversary of the Back in Black album, but the band has been together much longer. They've worked a lifetime making rock music.
Brian Johnson is a great singer but nothing compared to the legendary Bon Scott! Made a song about an STD then flipped the lyrics to make it about a card game all so it would get radio airtime. Also his energy was amazing too.
Grown Folk Music 😄👍 This was my high school’s football victory song back in the olden days. AC/DC has been together for nearly 50 years and (correct me if I’m wrong) have only replaced guys who died. And they still rock as hard as they ever did.
You are wrong 😛Phil Rudd has been replaced not once, not twice but three times is still alive and looking forward to performing with AC\DC again. Dave Evans, who was replaced by Bonn Scott, is still out there touring, you can find some old videos with him singing with AC\DC and Mark Evans, no relation to Dave, was replaced by Cliff Williams for the Powerage album and is still alive.
Yes he is the original singer. Back in Black was his debut. The album was a tribute to Bon Scott, their singer who had died the year before. Back in Black became the biggest selling rock album of all time. It was their 7th album btw.
You really hear the blues base during the solo part. Blues is great because it gives you options and this time he played it at a lower tempo. Very guitar driven song. That's those boys!
Great reaction! I saw AC/DC in concert when I was in high school. 'Twas the "Who Made Who?" tour. BEST concert I've ever been to. This isn't, and never has been my favorite BAND, but man what a concert! Angus Young struttin' around in that school boy uniform, wailing on that guitar. Bryan Johnson just screaming those lyrics. The cannon from "For Those About to Rock, We Salute You" was the loudest thing I have ever heard at a concert. Now, off to check out your other AC/DC reactions. I was appallingly unaware of their existence until now. Haha, expect likes! :-) On edit: Just watched your reaction to "Thunderstruck" wherein you said you loved drums. One word, dude. Rush. Neil Peart was a master. He also wrote the bulk of their lyrics. 2nd edit: You might consider a couple more from the Bon Scott era. "Ride On" is really bluesy, if that's a word, and a GREAT song. "Big Balls" reminds me of "Wynona's Big Brown Beaver" by Primus as it is a fake double entendre.
@@dperry203 This would have been 1986 or '87. I've been sayin' "what" ever since! Not really, but the fact that my hearing came back is really, really fortunate!
Yes, Brian Johnson brought this song out as frontman for ac/dc after Bon Scott (the first frontman and “Ride On” “TNT”, “Highway To Hell“ etc singer for Ac/Dc passed away in 1980) his family was shocked at how closely his voice resembled Bon Scott and as the person in the Prior comment stated, “Back In Black” was in tribute to Bon Scott and in celebration of the band coming BACK out onto the scene with the then new lead singer Brian Johnson. Actually another Australian musician by the name of Dave Evans was Even before Bon Scott but was fired after a couple shows and had maybe recorded their very first song w the band, but Bon Scott is known as the very first original singer for the band followed by this guy, Brian Johnson. Angus Young is the guitar player that ALWAYS wore his signature schoolboy uniforms onstage. So Many Many ppl have ROCKED HARD & made some great memories to their music. I hope many more still do! ICONS!!!!🎶 🤟🤟🏻🤟🏾🤟🏿
This Back in Black album was the first album for lead singer, Brian Johnson. The previous album, Highway to Hell, was the last one for original singer, Bon Scott. They had similar vocal styles but noticeable differences. Great Australian band.
My best song ever from ACDC , I PROMISE YOU NOW . YOU WILL NOT SEE A BETTER ATMOSPHERE FOR A SONG LIVE BY ANY BAND THAN THIS 1 . WHEN ACDC PLAY THIS LUVE RHE CROUD ALWAYS GO CRAZY . YOU SHOULD WATCH THIS SONG LIVE IN RIVER PLATE AND SEE THE CROUD THERE . MASSIVE RESPECT FOR PLAYING THIS 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Yes he is the original singer on this album Black in Black … Bon Scott original singer of AC/DC died from alcohol poisoning before this album was released
Yes , he is the original for this song !! Brian Johnson's first album with them was BACK in BLACK in 1980 !! Anything after that is from him . Before that was Bon Scott !!
'Grown folk music', LOL exactly. It's funny to me thinking back now; growing up singing along the songs like this with no idea what they meant, to the point where they're just reflex and I don't even think about them as an adult... and then one day as with this song I just woke up and started paying attention to the words that were coming out of my own mouth, and then realized when I was like 20-something (maybe like almost 30?), "holy crap, this song is about sex". Which is hilarious, because it's about the most obvious song ever, so it shouldn't take that long to pick that up... but when you just take it for granted and don't think about it and you heard it since you were a kid, it just never occurs to you to question some stuff. Now I have a completely different appreciation for the song, obviously, because as you say grown folks understand things kids don't come LOL. Still one of my favorite rockers from acdc. Just a straight banger.
LFR how you doing from australia my guy! I hit the thang jack! Check out AC/DC's 'Let There Be Rock' for us in australia celebrating 40 years. Youll love the song and acdc fans would love your genuine reactio
I'm in the minority I suppose, but Fly on the wall (the whole album) is in my regular rotation, I love that album ... stand up ... playing with girls ... danger ...
No, his ist not the original singer for the band, but yes, he ist the original singer for this song...smiles The AC/DC band were just as popular und had just as many great songs und top hits with both singers. Quite an uncommon thing in any genre of music I think. Their music ist rather simple in its composition, but always good, most often great, influencing many generations. Their concerts are completely out-there entertaining shows always sold-out stadiums of 75,000 to 100,000 making you smile at everyone for weeks after...smiles BTW...Gute reaction. I've watched of few of yours und they are becoming very gute. Have a fund day und stay safe in your Haus from COVID if ya can. :-)
This was Brian Johnson’s debut album. At one time # 2 biggest selling of all time. I think that has been surpassed now, but still top five. AcDc fans are hardcore! I can remember being 12, and wanting to marry Angus!!!🤣🤣🤣
Another band celebrating 40 years this year is Depeche Mode. Never heard of them? Dive in! Enjoy The Silence, Personal Jesus, I Feel You, Barrel Of A Gun, Stripped, Home, Wrong, Get The Balance Right, Everything Counts, Precious, Cover Me. You can’t really go wrong!
The Hermit Yes angus Malcolm cliff and Phil definitely lied to everyone for no reason for 40 years by saying Brian wrote the song🤦🏻♂️ I’m all for conspiracy theories but people who follow ones that are flat out retarded is well.. retarded
But Dave Evens Didn't Last Long At All And Maybe Only 1 album But I don't even think he made it on 1 Album Bon Scott was There Bus Driver and Dave Didn't want to go on So Bon Took Over So nobody really Counts Him Cause He Didn't Really Do Anything With Them Or For Them
BRIAN ISNT THE ORIGINAL SINGER OF THE BAND BUT AT BONS REQUEST IF HE DIED RECRUIT BRIAN 😀 IN SAYING THAT BRIAN IS THE ORIGINAL SINGER OF "SHOOK ME ALL NIGHT LONG"
I would love to introduce you to a great Country Artist...total stand-up guy: Says what he wants and feels! Eric Church: The Outsiders Homeboy Desperate Man
