Ellie the flushable wipes aren't actually flushable they just put that so they can get more people to buy it. We learned it at the water treatment plant in school!
Maddy G Totally! We have RV toilet paper for the toilet and the wipes we just use for other things not in the toilet. We're not even using the toilet this trip since there isn't a waste area close by.
Don't worry about uploading on days like this Jared! Enjoy your camping trip with your family and upload the video when you get back! Much love to y'all!
Yes I do realize RU-vid is their job, but unlike other jobs they don't take days off and work 7 days a week. Wouldn't you rather they enjoy family time and upload at a later time? Especially with the month they have had.
Talythah and Tavo Hey everyone my two kids and I are new vloggers. I'm a single mom with two kids come along and join us.. check it out and don't forget to subscribe !
Can everyone just take a minute to appreciate ellie. You are an incredible strong young woman. You just got through a miscarriage a little over a week ago. If I had to ever go through that I wouldn't be able to function. You are so beautiful and strong, we love you❤️ and you too Jared😂
Samantha Bearden I agree! She is obviously still grieving and dealing with those emotions but she is also making the conscious effort to live her days to the fullest and enjoy the time she has with her precious little boys. Such a strong and beautiful woman!
Save your dryer lint to make great fire starter! We go camping all the time and it's so much fun to really get back to "basics" and enjoy each other. Have fun!
Try saving your dryer lint and toilet paper rolls. Stuff the dryer lint into the toilet paper rolls and use it to start a fire. It's a great fire starter and it's using something that would normally be trash. 👍🏻🔥
I just want to thank you for your dedication for vlogging. Thanks for sacrificing your first night on a family camping trip to drive home and upload a vlog for us. It almost makes me feel a little guilty! I know this is your job and you enjoy doing it, but I feel like you guys deserve one night off to enjoy the beautiful nature on a camping trip haha. I love you guys!
Ellie - just a quick tip - Dryer lint is a HUGE fire hazard in the home but when you're camping those properties make AWESOME firestarting help! Heather xo
Ellie, Jared, it is stressful to camp with little ones, either with tent or RV. Its just takes work to camp with kids. but it is so so worth you time and effort. Just keep up your positive spirits, don't expect perfection and have a great time!!!! and by the way I love your eyebrows Ellie!!! you are such a caring, strong, beautiful mama.
Beautiful family. We have four boys and have number five on the way. But we found out number five is a girl! Love the idea of vlogging, especially to document your child's life!
great tip for teaching kids to say back from the fire!!! get some rocks and make a circle with them. it makes a great visual aid for the kids to know how close they can get!!!!! you two look like you are having such a great time!!!
If there was one word that described you and your family it would be grateful and that's why I watch you every day. Keep being that sweet thankful family!
I say your first trip is always a trial run! now you've experienced it with the boys and Penny, and you can learn what you liked and didn't like for next time. Nothing can be fun without a little mayhem, right? Love the vlog!
Kathryn Trecartin I agree. Last year our first camping trip as a family was totally a trial run and huge failure lol. I hope this year goes much better.
LOL! You guys looked so exhausted yourselves never mind the kids! The look on your faces at the end of this vlog!😂 Ive been there, i know. Can totally relate to the eye looks between you two lol. Stress/kids/dog/diff environment/open 'vulnerable' space/etc...ugh... wouldn't change it for anything❣️Here's to the precious Memories✨🥂🏕🌎👨👩👦👦
I'm so excited for camping vlogs! Camping was a huge part of my childhood and I wish I had the time to do it now that I'm an adult. So happy your family gets to make these memories :) Ellie, your eyebrows actually look really good and Jared, that drone footage was beautiful! Such a sweet family!
It amazing to see your happy & healthy family once again regardless of all the hardships you have been through. It's refreshing and a reminder that hard times are temporary. Enjoy your family time in the woods! That's where most of my best childhood memories were formed :)
You nailed it Ellie! The stress before pictures and travel brings out the worst in me and my husband. But, once we're on the road (and we apologize for being crabby), we're all good! Have fun!
Camping is SOOO much work but it is definitely worth it as I'm sure you remember. It seemed to that my parents were pros at it but as an adult, taking my kids camping, my mom tells me how hard it was for her with 3 kids all 18 mos. apart. Truly the best memories ever! I love, love, love the dirty little faces😊
Jared-Your footage w/ the drone is WONDERFUL!!! I had no idea before watching your channel and Bonnie's that Utah was so gorgeous! Thank you for sharing how beautiful it truly is there!!
We love that campground!! And it's a good distance from town. Something we have had good success with is the little duraflame fire starters! Happy camping!
I'm actually really sad for you guys that Jared has to go home to edit and upload footage. Kind of takes away from the beauty of getting away and into nature to disconnect. Take a couple days off and get away guys 💗💗
Camping is a lot of work with kids! Oh my goodness but seeing my kids out enjoying nature, creating their own games and fun. makes it all worth it. They will learn the rules of camping and it gets easier!
Loved the vlog today! Sharing amazing memories you can look back on. Ellie, can you do a video on your grocery shopping... if you make a list, and if you meal plan.. also what the boys eat through the week. You look like Julie today!!
Camping is a ton of work with kids! We take our 4 kids camping once every summer and we tent. The kids have a blast, and we try our best to make it really fun for 2 nights.
STILL to this day, after 26+ years of camping, my family always chooses a place close to home at the beginning of the season and makes a list for what they need for next time. Iron out the kinks, then roll with the punches... You can never think of everything!
Love camping! I grew up going camping every weekend during the summers with my family. We had a huge camp out with a bunch of friends every 4th of July and the best time. Enjoy those memories you're making! They last a lifetime :)
You guys should totally do a little mini camper tour i think that`d be so fun ,it looks like the perfect little space for your little family. camping is fun times beside all the creepy crawlers that`s what scares me , that treat drawer was also looking pretty nice i ain`t gonna lie job well done on picking out the snacks lol
How adorable you guys, yes it takes a little time to get routine down with those things, my husband starts packing up our trailer a week before we leave LOL In fact we leave 2 weeks from today, NASCAR comes to town and we go twice a year every year, so we are getting ready ourselves. Enjoy that trailer cause you got a good one :)
Can you get one of those plastic baby gates/boxes to put around the fire when you're not sitting right there with the kids? It could be a barrier for the kids and Penny. It does get easier and you bring more and more each time, at least we did! Not a lot of extra stuff but things to help out...do you have clothes pins and some kind of clothes line for rain/water puddles? Have fun.
THIS VIDEO MAKES ME SO HAPPY!!! I loved camping with my family and I wish we were still able to do it as much as we used to. Brings back so many happy memories, and I hope your boys love it for everything it's worth. :')
I remember when my dad would always go to Utah for a business trip, and every time he would come home, I would ask him if he saw Ellie and Jared's house
I luv watching your cute little family. I remember when I was growing up we had a RV ( my parents just got a bigger one so all of us kids & grandkids can go together) and we would go camping at Noccalula Falls every other weekend. I hope you guys enjoy your camper.
Ellie- your hair is so cute!! My husband and I love camping! It's so fun to think about having a little family and taking them camping like you are now :) Love from our little vlogging family to yours
That's amazing that beautiful park is so close to your home!! Utah is so stunning. My husband and I just planned a roadtrip there for our 2 year wedding anniversary. We are going to stay in Moab, Torrey and Springdale!
My family has always been into camping I would suggest investing in some mini pie irons and making little pizza sandwhiches in them! All you need is white bread, pizza sauce, cheese, butter and whatever else you put in pizza! They're the perfect camping food :)
Well I would say that your first camping trip in your camper was a success. You guys are too hard on yourselves. And Kudos to you Elle for preparing all the yummy food and buying some cool treats for everybody. The boys are loving the great outdoors and your camper is so dang cozy. And I forgot to mention the awesome Fire 🔥 you got going by yourself. That is no easy task, believe me, I know. Lol. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
my family loves camping I didn't grow up camping but my husband did so we tried camping with our kids when they were really little and they had a blast plus it's the best vacation I mean you disconnect from the world for a week it's just family having fun playing games talking laughing going on hikes sitting around a camp fires it's just awesome memories that will last a life time I know you guys will love love love your camper ok guys have fun best wishes
I don't know if you know about it but a tips on camping-food is bread on stick! You make the dough and twirl it around a stick or a hot dog and then grill it over the fire. It's really good!
And oh, I need to send you swedish candy cars that you can grill like you do with marsmallows! Me and my friend tried this the other day when we where hiking and it tasted sooo good! I would describe the taste as marsmallow with tutti frutti taste.
Ellie the easy way to start a fire is to use smaller sticks and build a log cabin with them and then put some of the lighter stuff in it and like that that's how we teach our Cub Scouts
Fellow camping family here in Canada....just a little tip....do NOT flush the wipes in the trailer toilet. They won't break down properly and can plug up the tank. My husband is a stickler for that stuff and has drilled it into my head lol Also, only get the tp that is made for trailers and RV's. Its single ply and not strong....but its the safest for your tank. Have fun Camping this summer!!
Camping is sooo stressful the first few times. We really wondered if we had made a HUGE mistake buying our trailer the first 2 times we took it out. Then suddenly on the 3rd trip everything just clicked. We both had our things we did to set up and everything just went so smoothly. We gave our boys tasks of gathering kindling or finding a spot for our clothesline (great to dry wet towels or other items) or sometimes I would bring a fun activity that they had to stay in the trailer and do. It helped them stay contained or in sight and made the whole process run a lot better. The first time is ALWAYS the hardest...just remember....always empty black before grey!!! ;)
Camping is the best with your young family. Enjoy many years because there will come a point when they have so much going on with school and their friends that they will not want to go anymore.
The key is for mom kids and dog go for a nice walk while dad gets the camper set up. Then when you come back to camp it's set up and you can all enjoy.
Congratulations on getting through your first day of camping. I think the boys had a lot of fun and I'm sure its going to get easier the more times you go camping. ♥♡♥♡
