You averaged 50 mph on those backroads? Damn in Washington State the speed limit is 30-35 on most backroads. Only way I can see an Ironbutt in WA is highway.
Yep, most back country roads here are 55 mph although we did have one road that was very twisty with sharp corners that dropped our average speed. But over all, our route was planned to be efficient with good roads, nice scenery, and good gas stations that would accommodate our large group.
