No great lessons, no swearing, no knives or guns, how can you call this entertainment? Because it's funny, it makes you smile and maybe smirk to yourself quietly. I call that pretty good. Pity those who don't get it.
I just finished seeing a clip of Tom Hanks in Saving Private Ryan, it was great seeing him in this clip as a younger man. He's such a gifted actor in every role.
What an absolutely brilliant scene. To most the Fonz would come across as a bit of a bully but in actual fact he's a cool intelligent dude who thinks before he acts and doesn't see violence as the way to deal with shit.
I never knew Tom Hanks made an appearance on Happy Days. Look at how young he looked, the Fonz too Forrest Gino Myiagi, Jefferson and the Fonz, on one shot
This was a great episode, love how the Fonz just keeps stepping out of the way, so cool, so calm, even sits there eating a sandwich, LOL. At 3:42 I noticed standing behind and right between them a really cute girl wonder what happened to her. What caught my eyes was that long row of buttons. What is going on? I just searched through every episode of Happy Days on IMDB and it did not show this episode. AT least I didn't see it. Finally found this on IMDB. From 1982, season ten, episode 82, "a little case of revenge". The only time Tom hanks was on Happy days. That cute little gal I was crushing on was not listed. Oh well, she's probably married to some wealthy producer, has five kids, and a mansion up in the mountains.
I was legit terrified for The Fonz when I saw this as a little kid. Stuck with me for decades lol. Was how I thought of Tom Hanks for a l long time. I think I forgive him now.
Why is Fonzie wearing a leather jacket over a dress shirt? Why is there a guy in a half shirt in the scene? Why does it look nothing like the 1950s or early 60s?
The half shirt is just wrong, but the jacket over the dress shirt is because he started teaching classes, and that's his attempt at looking professional. It's silly, but explained in the show.
