I had the pleasure of being in the audience back in 1982 for the 10th season Happy Days Christmas episode filming, I saw a lot of goofs live as they happened it was great.

On the 30th Anniversary of Happy Days special on ABC, producer Gary Marshall was asked whatever happened to "Chuck" the 3 child of Howard and Marion and Richie's older brother. He said he accepted a basketball scholarship to the University of Mongolia LOL

In the season 7 premiere entitled “Shotgun Wedding” The episode ended with Richie running past his father at the lake just before Fonzie tells him how he escaped from farmer Beauregard. Or as Fonzie called him bumper guard. But in part 2 which was a crossover episode with Laverne and Shirley, Fonzie makes his appearance on a donkey still tied up as if he never escaped.

The first season you can see mountains back behind Arnold’s which I don’t think there are many mountains in Milwaukee. The second Chuck made multiple guest appearances throughout the series Who was literally nameless and speechless. And the third hiccup was Mork’s first appearance on happy days. I remember at the end of the show after Richie closed the door on Mork, Orsen made contact with Mork and told him he would have to stay on earth to it examine humans in the 70s but was not too pleased.

I have to wonder what would Mork and Mindy would have been like if it was set in the 50s or early 60s and maybe they did a lot of retro alien stuff like the old 50s movies.

It was funny with all those "historical" shows from that era. Little House on the Prairie set in the 1870s-80s and the Waltons set in the 1930s-40s with all the 70s-early 80s haircuts and makeup. It seemed the longer these shows were on the air, the less they cared about the historical accuracy of how the actors looked.

EUREKA!! I just discovered the reason for all of the time traveling mysteries throughout the entire series. And his name is MORK from ORK! Not only did he go from 50s Milwaukee and time travel to70s Denver, but he also returned to50s Milwaukee multiple times. He can pop in and out literally and manipulate time by walking in a time warp as well as affecting others ranging from speeding up time, slowing it down to stopping time all together. After all, when Mork leaves Mindy’s apartment, where does he go? Or when???
@tvcrazyman
@tvcrazyman 26 дней назад
Yes, Mork must have brought the 70s hairstyles and clothing to 50s Milwaukee. He could have destroyed the entire space time continuum. 😀🤔

I remember watching Happy Days this was in the later years that Marion Ross called two guys on the show by their real names instead of their character names one was Scott Baio his character Chachi got a record deal or contract or something so Marion said that’s wonderful Scott instead of Chachi I was whoa, in another episode Marion and her TV husband Tom Bosley they’re sitting on the couch reading a newspaper and Marion said let me see that Tommy instead of his character name Howard and I was like she did it again that is my notice of the two goofs involving Marion Ross on Happy Days

@@tvcrazyman yes I can recall watching happy days in 74 I used to look out for mistakes I mean the program created by the people who done Lavern and Shirley and Mork and mindy gerry marshal only like 15 years away from the 50s playing songs from early 60s like runaway del Shannon 1961 song and It meant to be 57 ? Or 56 ? The Fonz and Richie only looked the part the others were looking like the 70s I used to quiged quietly in my chair why can't they get it right late 70s cars in the back ground playing songs from 62 63 when it should be 56 57 58 59 the movie American graffiti 73 movie was my favourite it was spot on

Loved when Winkler was asked about the "jump the shark" myth (that it is somehow a sign of desperation). He pointed out the show was #1 in it's slot for YEARS after that episode, and the skiing idea was his because Winkler personally loved recreational water skiing (as my family did in the 70's).

Yeah, I think it took the A-team to finally knock the show out of the top 20 in the last season. It had a lot of longevity, on top of being number one for a few seasons and then it was popular in re-runs too.

It ain't about ratings. It's about creativity and believability.
@tomflorio3639
@tomflorio3639 4 месяца назад
Exactly what chrichar9428 said. Jump The Shark doesn't refer to the point in a series when it started losing ratings. It refers to the point after which the show was noticeably not as good as it had been previously. If history has taught us anything, popularity does not always equal quality! Personally, I think Happy Days jumped the shark way before Fonzie jumped the shark. It happened around the time Fonzie moved into the Cunninghams' garage.

That’s because season 1&2 were not filmed in front of a live audience, a laugh track was used. It was also shot on one camera system. During season 3 the sound stage was changed and set up in front of a studio audience with the standard sit-com multiple cameras. Due to this change the sets were down sized and changed. Season 1&2 sets were more like a drama show and full-set set up.

"Time travel" isn't even A reasonable explanation, let alone the only reasonable explanation. When we remember that shows like happy days are nothing more than a delivery scheme for Wheaties, and Calgon and Martini & Rossi Asti Spumsnte, and Pepto Bismol we should be grateful for the effort they did go to and not nit pick it all apart. Or try to create elaborate bull shit to try to make it make scifi sense.

@@tvcrazyman I'll try to remember that for next time! LOL. I was in a mood last night.(sorry) But I find the hoard of ST fans can be really annoying at times always picking apart stuff in some desperate attempt to force it to make logical sense. Sometimes it's just a mistake. Or worse, sometimes the writer of this episode never saw the last episode and so he doesn't even know that "yada yada yada". And don't get me started on Star Trek "Cannon". What CANNON really means is that someone is about to shoot their mouth off! LOL & OMG!!!
