My granddaughter who will be nine the end of this month watches your videos with me, she loves dolls and coloring and drawing and has been trying to learn crochet. She can do a chain pretty good now. The other day my daughter texted me and told me she was watching one of my crochet ladies at home now. She was watching your videos. 😊

❤I am enjoying all my different crafts today. We are in are 60`s, I have seen enough fireworks in my day. It`s so hot and humid, I am staying inside today and still in my p j s. I have a couple different autoimmune diseases. High dose of steroids so I lay down and rest. The most I can stay in bed is 3 to 4 hours. Up all day and night. While I'm listening to you. I am coloring in my Gnome sweet Gnome coloring book. Your sweet voice just calms my nerves. Have a good night and a happy day tomorrow. Love you

Happy Independence Day to everyone! It got up to 98 and feels like 115 today here in East Alabama. I haven’t stopped foot outside. I worked on a Junk journal envelope cover today and added the floral scrapbook paper to it. I still need to decorate it and put together the signatures or pages to go into it. I hope it turns out as pretty as I have it imagined. Hubby grilled us a steak for lunch and I made a salad and ranch dressing. We are having left overs for supper. I relaxed during the morning and after 1pm I started getting ready for company who were coming for dinner and fireworks. I made a pasta salad, a pea salad, a garden salad. We were having brats on the grill. We have a HUGE fireworks event a block from our house. They had a snowcone truck and were giving child safe fireworks to kids wjo brought a parent to the table. They did fireworks from 7-10pm. Its totally free except for the snowcones. The neighbors who put the event on, do it every year and they buy about $25,000 in fireworks! It gets delivered on several pallets and it fills a 2 car garage! I took my godkids to get a snowcone after dinner. There had to be 500-600 people around the house and cul de sac it was to happen! I think this year there had to be 200 more people than in years past! Im glad yall had a restfulday!❤

I am still sick so I just crocheted, napped, started a 1,000 piece jigsaw puzzle, splurged on my favorite pizza place- a very rare treat, made oven smores, and watched the fireworks with the family. I cannot even hear the AC, but yes, I agree you have to stay cool so yes run that AC! Your picture looks so cute! Love all the colors you are using. Yes, we too are still in that adjusting stage. Our oldest son moved last year to TN. This was our 2nd 4th of July without him here. Our youngest daughter worked an opening shift, so it was just my husband and I along with our 5 year old grandson and 16 year old son. We are all on our own schedules these days and we all cook for ourselves, or well minus our grandson! Praying you can get some relief from the heat and start feeling better real soon!

Blooming heart Sadie is coming right along. We are not at 95 but too hot for hubby and me to be outside. I can’t hear any ac back noice at all👍. You mentioned traditions changing. They sure do. Aren’t we thankful 🙏 for those times we were able to enjoy those traditions. Like Thanksgiving in our home was family, friends who are like family and anyone invited by family or friends. We had a three story home at that time and seated upwards of over 30 guests. And everyone received an ornament for their Christmas tree.

We had a blast our family played Bingo tonight, and they had huge fireworks in the parking lot. I won one game !! I never heard your A/C, never turn it off. It's so hard on the a/c as it has to work extra hard to re-cool every thing back down. Also makes the electric bill higher. Nobody wants that!! Glad to hear you both relaxed today!!!

hi Kayla it is 79° at our house, my hubby wanted to go see the Kevin Costner movie Horizons, not exactly my kind of way to spend the afternoon but just being with him was special, also a break from clearing shelves in our garage to make room for my totes filled with my crafting supplies. My daughter is staying in my craft room so everthing had to be packed up. Love watching you color and just knowing you are out there makes the world a better place. Right now as I was listening to your vidio Phiebe hunkered down, thinking for some reason we woll.protect her from the big booms, Shelton is located between to Native American reservations so we have some booms that sound like bombs.Blessings, prayers and hugs this special day❤

We are having the pleasure to complain about the terrible cold and icy wind at the moment. During December January February we will be enjoying to complain about the exhausting heat 😊

I saved a couple videos to watch this morning. I went to bed at 7pm, or earlier, last night. July 4th, was John’s favorite Holiday. We would start with a sweet breakfast of homemade waffles, pancakes, or French Toast. He made deviled eggs, potato salad, ribs, brisket, pulled pork, and chicken. He had usually baked a cake the day before. Once it was getting dark, we would load up the bed of the truck and go see fireworks. So, yesterday was rough for us. No one wants to participate in celebrating anymore, not yet, anyway. It’s been almost three years since his death. Maybe in a few years? The 29th will be three years. Plus, my ex daughter in law, entered hospice, yesterday. Her son, my grandson is 14. I have no idea how he is. He is so stoic, he rarely expresses his feelings. I am still unable to drive, no depth perception still. ( I am aware I may never drive again.) We are all managing, and trying to be loving and supportive of one another. The doctors have given her less than a month. My grandson will need support whether he ask for it or not. So, I am trying to allow myself to rest and gain strength so I can help however I can. Odd, how life flows. My husband often, I mean very often, would jump in and lend her a hand with any and everything. I am unable to do this. ( Honestly, many times, I would be the one for filling his promises to her.) Her Mom has been coming from Oregon, often. That can be expensive. My son and her partner are helping as much as their jobs will allow. Anyway. This is a odd time for us. Sweet memories, but bittersweet. Yes, resting up for the coming days. I have offered to take him in, but I am limited in what I can do for him. We will see. At least he knows he is welcome anytime. Gosh, in his 14 years, he has been here, often. He is so loved. I have been working on shawls to donate. I found a pretty semi circle tutorial on Kat’s Hooks and Brushes The Justise Shawl. I have completed two, and have 2 more on the hook. Lion Brand mandala ombré from my stash. It has a lot of lint that is annoying my allergies, but it is super soft! I want shawls that are wheelchair Or bedridden friendly. So far, this is my favorite pattern. I have made a few from Crystal at Bag O Day, and Craig from Fiber Spider. I like all the patterns, but this semi circle is my favorite, it stays put without a pin or tie. Please take care of you. Kayla you are so loved. ❤❤❤

I don’t really hear the ac. Dh and I picked up a grocery hall. Then I made sandwiches and we went to take naps. I have Hashimotos and Eoe and it was 92 here in Maryland. I can’t stand the heat either but I can’t stand the cold in the winter. It gets worse the older I get. I’m 67 right now. Lol. We reminisced about how we’d go to my moms house for a cookout every 4th then she’d make popcorn and off to the fireworks. What I wouldn’t give for those days again. Our stinking county does not have public fireworks anymore. Six flags here does but you gotta pay over $20 bucks to get in and it’s in a really bad part of town. I hear covid is on the rise again so I just would rather stay home. Back in January dh and got covid for the first time. Ugh..Don’t wanna go through that again.

Happy 4th. Have you tried punch needle embroidery? I noticed that the way you hold the pencil is the way you hold a punch needle. Hey keep the AC on I couldn't hear any noise. Its different when you are younger and healthy and when you get older and have health issues. Heat makes me sick. Has all my life. I do miss grilling. But id rather be cool inside.
