Miley will never know this but this song and no love without freedom. Saved my life when i was 16, at that time in my life, i was lost, i was broken. I looked for hope everywhere i went. But i realized that hope is where you make hopefull choices, and growing up watching hannah montana and miley being in my life for years, i really needed inspiration and Miley sang these words while i sat on the shore of huntington beach. At that moment i sang along..... and i knew things were going to okay

Like "the Boss," Miley will duet with anyone she likes if they ask. I love her duets and how she changes how she sings to make THEM sound better. And I love older voices, even when they are starting to go. They gain authenticity, sorrow, and wisdom that comes through when they sing.

At times like this people need the comfort of songs like this. I was looking for the original, but this version is lovely as well!

In light of Miley's inducting Joan Jett in the Rock Hall, I'd love it if now this rekindles a movement to put Melanie in the Rock Hall !!! Please?
