Pretty true. There are, of course, people who don't like dogs, but I couldn't tell you how often my walks with my first hounds took way longer than planned because we met people. Back then there weren't so many greyhounds as pets and they were a novelty! The lady in the local fish & chip shop loved them so much, she'd run out with a sausage each for them whenever we passed by!

@@daouness the facts are, there are dog meat restaurants in every frickin' town in China. It may be a minority of the populace, but they do eat dog, often and everywhere. Same goes for Korea. Sure there are dog lovers and lots of pet dogs in the higher tier cities in the PRC but there's no use in denying the truth, as much a stereotype as it may be.

Civilized countries tend to be dog friendly.

@ DannyDeVito I didn’t grow up with dogs I had 2 Dalmatians back in the 80s when I was a toddler but that was it and when they died we never got any more after that. Its a huge responsibility In general taking care of a dog and if people cannot afford to adopt or rescue them they have their reasons for not wanting to and sometimes it’s financially impossible or they have medical issues. and life in general is hard for so many people to begin with there are people that have to make hard decisions in life every second if they lived and made poor choices it could spell disaster and death for them and those around them bony to mention there are those who want a dog but what if their only child has terminal cancer and the treatments are expensive without the treatments they could die so rather than get a dog they use their money where it’s needed the most and where it counts so their child will live to see another day. Growing up I was told having a pet is a luxury and a luxury that many people cannot afford or simply don’t have the time so they make do with what they have and they let what they have work for them for the time being

It's kinda embarrassing when your dog howls/barks like that at strangers thanks bad dog owners who let their dog actually bark out in fear or angers... while you know damn well your dog is just saying hi and or asking those nice strangers to play/pet. My dog does this if she has a stick or toy in her mouth, she will make a sound when ever somebody walks by and some people take it as a threat while other know that she's just so proud :)
