Bishop, I have not lived in America since 2005 when I retired from the US Army, I was raised in a Pentecost church in Harlem, Once I was old enough to understand things I stopped going to church because of how I seen people real self. I do miss a good church and an honest preacher, I follow you online and enjoy what I hear from you. Thank you for letting me see that all churches are not fake.
What I admire about Bishop Wooden is that nothing detours him from his Kingdom Assignment,he uses God's strategy to do the things of God when everyone else sits comfortably in compromise...BLESS YOU SIR

@@lexington4 tbh, the Democrats decided to make Juneteenth a federal holiday to keep the black people quiet and satisfied with all the George Floyd riots and the fallout from that. It’s been around for well over 100 years in Texas. The slaves in the Galveston area didn’t know they were free for 2 years after the Emancipation Proclamation in 1863 and Union troops came in and told them they were free at the end of the Civil War. It’s been a state holiday in Texas for years. I celebrate July 4th and always will because I’m grateful to be an American and don’t care who is in the White House. Frederick Douglass actually told people in his time to do nothing with us, black Americans, to those who wanted to “help”. We need to know history but no nation is perfect.

One benefit of this is to know when someone is misusing history to create a false or misleading narrative. It appears you are doing the same thing when you said Fredrick Douglass to do nothing with black people. This statement is taken out of context from one of his writings: “What Shall Be Done With The Slaves If Emancipated” in 1862. This statement you used was just ripped out of its context. There was a good reason for Fredrick Douglas to say that. I am indeed fully aware of the history of Juneteenth, how it started, and the various circumstances (political and otherwise) of how it became a federal holiday. Glad it is now a fully sanctioned federal holiday regardless of how it came to be. If you want to celebrate July 4th that’s your business. Far be it from me to tell you whether or not to celebrate it. My remarks were simply pointing out that there should be balance or dare I say equality at least when sending out well wishes regarding liberty during this time of celebration. Both holidays commemorate liberty that has been hard fought through blood, sweat, and tears. Both commemorate fundamental changes in US. If a black person is making statement regarding liberty of the country for July Fourth, then a fortiori, a video statement can be made regarding well wishes on Juneteenth especially far as black Descendants of US Chattel Slavery are concerned. Both political parties take advantage of the social, cultural, and climate to advance agendas. Love you to life. Be blessed.
Happy Independence Day Bishop Wooden! We have been blessed to be born here people! I don’t feel oppressed or anything but I pray for those who feel like that, do any of those people think if they were in Africa, would there be no slavery? Would it be heaven on earth?
If that is the case you can't go back to Africa, most of the ones brought to America was captured in war. Our ancestors wasn''t even thought about enough to keep but sold, they didn't care if the property/slaves was treated well or not. What about the family's who would sell their children and relatives without care.
To all the woke blacks, if America is so oppressive, why don’t any go to Africa or Europe where they think they aren’t “oppressed”? I love my country and no nation is perfect.
