I am from South Kerala (trivandrum) I bought a new car and I love long drive.. So me and brother planed surprise trip to surprise my cousin...who leaves in mumbai.. It was the year 2008..no smart phone thouse years to travel with Google Map... We just had address... Since we were going to surprise.. We couldn't able to ask the proper direction to my cousin how reach her house once we enter Mumbai... We some managed and reached ghat koper....my cousin leave in Malad.... We were totally stuck in Mumbai.. And in my life I never seen such busy traffic city.. We were quiet nerves... We just asked a auto rikshaw guy how to reach Malad....he understood we are from South India kerala with our accent and with our car KL registeretion....we explained him the surprise plan also.. So he tried telling us how reach Malad from ghat koper... But it was very difficult to understand tooooo many left right sings... He saw our face and he could make out we were almost not able to remember any thing and going black and loosing the hope.. He said to us.. OK don't worry I will take you Malad just follow me... We thought it would be 2 or 3km from ghat koper but it was almost 23km.... We were just worried about the money how much he might ask.. But still we were ready what he ask we will give him extra Rs 500 more to guide us in unknown busy city... Atlast afyrr 2hrs drive in traffic he safely made us reach in Malad.. After reaching we told him thank you soooo much for your help and asked him how much we need to pay... He just laughed us said nothing required.. Your happiness is enough for me and being a part of your surprise Is enough for me.... We were completely shocked... But we wanted to give him something... But he denied... He said do one thing... When our Maharashtra or any state people come to ur state (Kerala) help them if they ask same as you had... Our tears Came out... I LOVE MUMBAI PEOPLE AND RIKSHAW PEOPLE.
Actually these kind of people do exist..i once read in newspaper abt a medical student of kolkata who drives auto in his spare time and he also does the same thing ask people to give whatever they want ..and whatever he earns is used in the treatment of poor people..may god bless these kind of lovely souls ameen 😊
People who didn't get the story at last that she didn't give him a single penny that's true but what he said to her that I have faith in God that he takes care of me and my family ( because he was a noble man and didn't believe in that 'we earn' but 'God repay good deeds and never let you down') So finally he found 100 rps note from no where but that smile he understood that it's just God who pays him for his work.
the girl left the money! it wasnt god, it was his strategy to control people in such way that they end up paying him extra for his sweetness and kindness! lol
i thought the ending would be like he thinks it was her note and he would go back to her place to return it but seeing his honesty she tells him to keep it
I wish there are people like this. I never saw one in my life. I'll gladly give more money than he deserves. I always had to fight with them as they DEMAND more than the trip.
when the girl was talking she was doing something with her purse she left 100 rupees!! while she was talking.... ending was superb and the autodriver understood so he didnt returned it back to her
Though today's world none can be like that man; but here writer tried to show auto drivers honesty. But the ending made me confused, actually it wasn't clear
Once I went to a temple near my house .On way back I hailed an auto , he started talking ,asked me if I had been to temple , I said yes ,some pooja .He started talking about God .When I alighted near my house( not right in front of it ) , he outright refused to take any money ,( it was minimum) ,said ' you don't know who I am , if you give me money it will not be good for you ' .I was shocked because I am used to drivers who extort more , abuse etc. He just drove away with me still holding money in my hand . I can never forget this incidence . Don't know who he was .
Loved the concept. I like the film. In the end being good always brings you good, more than our expectation. Now about the filming process, there is one very noticeable mistake. When the girl gets down from the rickshaw and asks the guy to come out for a picture the back is easily visible in the shot and there is no 100 rupee note in there. Good movie .. i will give it a 7.8/10 :D

I always wondered why can't an auto driver try something like this. Not to this extreme. But atleast charge only what the meter shows and go wherever customer asks to go. IMO at the end auto drivers will make more money because of customer satisfaction.

Once had no money to go school and took auto ride,forgot to carry money,said to go return for money to pay him(auto driver), started argument as he thought would only pay for one side ride, later sought out would pay triple as need to come same place after return.In between asked a school colleague for money as passing by to school,sorry have money but cannot give.After sought out to pay him triple, he bowed to me joining hand and let go.Many years later saw him still driving auto in same place as I was standing side of the road with car battery low.
