Congratulations to Kin Kuan on his graduation with a Bachelor’s Degree from HONG KONG UNI. Congrats to Uncle Lee and Michelle on Kin Kuan proud achievement. Wishing Kin Kuan a bright future and a good career. Glad to see Uncle Lee’s extended family took the time to join in the celebration of this happy occasion. Stay safe and happy !! 👍👍👍
kin kuan seems very close with your aister familt, is he living with them during his stay in HK? the uncle expresions looks very proud of him too, confgrats kin kuan dua like 👍👍
Yeah, we are very close. He does not stay with them , he rented and shared an apartment with a couple of friends and goes and visit them and to eat with them every week or two or whenever he has some free time. His uncle seen him when he was still a baby so we are all very close family. Thanks for 👍👍😀
Congratulations to your son Kin Kuan and to you and wife as proud parents 🥳 wish him all the best in his next journey 🎉 I was also very happy and proud when my two sons graduated from UBC in Vancouver, Canada. Then again when the older son graduated from same Uni with a Master’s Degree. Now he’s in his third year at York Uni, Toronto, Canada pursuing his PhD. My younger son was also offered a job before he graduated at the Federal Government Security Department and at Amazon as a software engineer. He chose the latter and has been working there since. He’s getting married next year, having his wedding in KK, therefore I searched RU-vid on this place and found yours😊😅 Enjoyed your videos with great places and explanations especially with the cost. For us who are not from there and haven’t been there before, really helps with budgeting and what to expect 👍👍 Thank you very much.
Every parent will be very happy and proud of their children’s accomplishments. Good to know that you kids are doing really well too. Thanks for watching and supporting my channel 👍 Take care and stay safe 🙏
Congratulations to Kin Kuan on his first class honours degree achievement - big thumbs-up, and your family’s pride and utmost joy. High regards to him, guessing he must have been fighting and suffering all the hardest ways to complete the course throughout 2019-2023, the terrible era of Covid-19 attacks on the whole world. 🍻🥂👍🏻 It must also be a big financial relief having paid an annual tuition fee around HKD180k (MYR 100k) for non local undergraduates, alongside high living expenses in Hong Kong, if not sponsored with any third party scholarship. 🎉🎉
Thank you. Thank you. It’s a tough course. I play with technology my whole career and I also have difficulty understanding the concepts and modeling. Very maths intensive! And yes you are right… 2019 was a terrible year for HK, with all the unrest, riots and demonstrations… Malaysian embassy has to help evacuate him to HKIA airport and MTR stations were closed and airport restricted. Still remember those dark days when we wanted him back in KL badly. And yes, covid from 2020-2023…travel restrictions makes leisure travel impossible! HKU fees, accommodation and living expenses are expensive. Couldn’t afford it if I have to pay everything. Fortunately, China government (or HK government) paid for his tuition fees and HKU heavily subsidized his accommodation for all 4 years with no bond or conditions whatsoever! He can go work anywhere in the world for whatever company that he wants. This is unbelievable generosity by the China government! And my hat off to the China government for recognizing talent and practicing meritocracy and willing to invest in a non-citizen with no expectations whatsoever! 👍
There’s a huge imbalance between supply and demand for AI graduates.. At least 50 jobs is chasing after each graduate so this is really the next big thing… I think job security for the next 2 decades for him! Kin Kuan already secured a tech job in HK way back in January before graduation with a start date next month, September… he returned to HK today. That’s how bad the manpower shortage is in AI. And he is the first batch of 13 AI graduates that HKU produced. The course only started in 2019 with an intake of only 20 students.
@@UncleLeeAdventures great choice! Anyway where Kin Kuan work next month? In Malaysia or HK? Besides AI, Mechatronic (Mechanical + Robotic) and Biotechnology are the next big thing.
@@UncleLeeAdventures which tech giant if you dont mind? Me and wife now in KLIA flying to Berlin to visit our son who just finished his language and helping to transfer to his uni in Duesseldorf. He got offered Electrical Engineering. I can feel how proud of you and lady boss were when Kin Kuan graduated. We have to wait another 3 years plus. It is a milestone to see our children graduate as we have fulfilled our responsibilities to give them the best in education. Next milestone is when they get married.
@@andyleewengpoh9038 he is going to work for a company that the USA government is very afraid of, Huawei. He will work in their research and development facility on next generation products. In the Western world, Nvidia is the leader in AI and in the East, the leader is Huawei. My son interned at Nvidia in the past and for him the choice is either Nvidia or Huawei…. Glad that he has chosen Huawei as I believe Huawei has a better technology stack across multiple industries and are developing solutions to address business needs. German engineering is world renowned too, congratulations to your son for getting into a German uni. 3 years+ will pass by very quickly, nothing to worry about.. 😀 Next milestone for him getting married, let’s wait few years and let him earn his own money first and buy his own home. And you are right, we as parents, the biggest financial commitment is to give them the best education that we can afford. Do have a safe flight to Germany and enjoy your holiday too. ✌️
