The Monarch butterfly is a migratory insect with an epic journey through north america.
there are two groups ; The Western species lives in the Rocky mountains & flies down to southern California & the Eastern group lives in Canada & flies down to Central Mexico . They both have a catapillar stage & it feeds off a poisonous plant called "milkweed " . The male is distinguished by more black spots on the wings , while the female has more stripes.
The indigenous community in Mexico ; "the Mazahua " believe these butterflies to be the soul of their ancestors .....
