In the states this wasn't considered 'pop music' by any means in my youth. My friends on the West Coast had a real love for the Happy Mondays. I always felt a great deal of their music like this one , and The Egg was suited for Chicago or NYC nighttime clubs and driving. The clubs in Chicago in the early 90s were outstanding when it came to playing some really nice mixes of some Happy Mondays and Stone Roses music. Miss those days, grateful I was able to live it. Thanks for this post!
Rudy Le' Plane I’m from Chicago and frequented the clubs downtown as well as some of the warehouse parties during the early 90s and you are correct on every point you made. Was an amazing time and place to be alive! Cheers to you and Happy Monday!
That's amazing , I did not think that crossed the atlantic, we were the same in Scotland and Northern England, I love the Mondays and the Roses, there was always a good rave before the Stone Roses and Mondays gigs , they were one of the indie bands that first crossed the genre barrier into acid house and dance music in general at that time. Great time to be alive.
@@ujeaniphil1234 The youth of today just don't have that love of rock and pop like we did. T'internet and all that. Kids don't wanna form bands like years ago.
