I picked up 4 of these 3 weeks ago. 3 are still in their packages for Christmas stocking stuffers. Orange is my favorite color, but normally I get my pocket knives with black G10 handles or go with the silver/metal if that’s an option. So far the one I opened has no defects, added a loop lanyard out of red para-cord. Right out of the package the plastic handle is rough with sharp edges. I spent a week tumbling it with my truck keys in my pocket and now it’s much smoother, from here on out I will clip it instead because I don’t want to loose too much of the texture. I like this knife more than I thought I would, only wish it had a G10 handle. Here is something to mention, the blade thickness is thinner than more expensive knives which changes its weight and the way it cuts slightly. Thicker blades usually require more effort (force) to cut through certain materials. Everyone is raving about the D2 steel and its ability to cut cardboard for 7 hours without losing its sharpness (edge).

I picked up 3 of them before all the buzz, and yes, I am impressed. All were centered, smooth, and very sharp. Went back to the same Walmart today and the sporting goods guy (he knows me LOL) said that they are selling like crazy all over the country and they can't get them fast enough. The power of the internet I guess. I have also seen them on Fleabay for up to $50 LOL

I have seen a LOT of reviews of this knife. You are the FIRST that has mentioned the RIT dye treatment! Good video.

Some day I may actually see one of these available for sale. I might even buy it when I do find it.

@@GromMolotok only my first day of carrying, it’s a winner so far. Anecdotally it sounds like Walmarts around the country are selling out of these fast! I got lucky

You should be able to loosen and tighten the pivot for the ones that are too tight or too loose.

And it’s American made. Fantastic!

are we sure it's american made? I figured it was at least Chinese D2 Steel.

I have one. It’s made in china, bud awesome knife. Super fidgety and light. Don’t even know it’s in your pocket. And it was $10. Best $10 I’ve ever owned!!! (I have about 200, been collecting since I was 6).

I bought a Bugout black/black s30v when they first came out for $99.... and I was like, mmm?... well it's Benchmade, lifetime sharpening, made in USA, s30V.... all that. I love that knife. It's so light, slicey as shit, looks cool. And I still think it's a great knife....BUT, .... the damn pivot always comes loose...so you have to tighten it to a micrometer of rightness or it's too tight to be smoothly flickable, and now those are like $170..... WTF??? I just got 4 of these "drop-outs" before they sold out, and they are super impressive for $10. The crossbar lock it kinda janky, the handles kinda janky, and the bearing feel is ok.....but dude....$10 vs $170..... for the average normie, meaning 99% of the population who is not inflicted with knife propaganda addiction and never really puts their shit to hard use.... these are THE JAM!!! I have carried a Spyderco PM2 every day for like 15 years, I have multiple variants... blah, blah,.... but these earned my respect for real...
