One of life’s simple pleasures-The Art of Collecting Seashells. National Seashell Day is celebrated on the first day of summer each year since its establishment in 2016 by the southwest beaches of Fort Myers and Sanibel in Florida. Collecting seashells and the more scientific discipline of study, which is called conchology, have a long deep-rooted history with significant contributions to various forms of art, commerce and science.
