Can you believe this? This video is more than five years old, and some A-hole company put a copyright claim on it because part of the video contained someone playing a radio and their song came on.
This is NOT a monetized video, and RU-vid is too cheap to pay me for anything I do anyway (they don't even pay "professional RU-vidrs" enough anymore), but I trimmed the "offending" section out anyway, because I'll be d*mned if this copyright owner gets one penny from this unreasonable action.
It was just ambient music... the fireworks were louder anyway.
I own intellectual property. I do believe in copyright. But this is overboard. To say that I can't monetize a video AT ALL because some part of it in the background may be copyrighted by someone else is ludicrous. If they wanted to share in the profit, proportional to the contribution their copyrighted material contributed, I'd understand. But to cut me out entirely for 30 seconds of background noise? No way. They're now excluded from this video.
You're not missing much anyway.
