Happy New Years to Dr. Johhhnnnyyy too! Now let me guess.. on top of being an super electronics wizard, and a DIY mechanic, you are also a master chef? Is there possibly anything you can't do?
Ooow i can see wall-eeeee sorry wally :-D You are no idiot, you are a smart cookie :-D Perhaps some kind of thread locking fluid would take up the space between the bearing and shaft. You are not the only one with dodgy engine parts, my old kawasaki kh125 has a big end made from assorted bits too lol. Have a smashing 2019 :-D
I ended up purchasing a new crankshaft, since I mushroomed the end of an old one trying to knock it out 0_o So hell yeah, I am an idiot! That was my 1st time dealing with such stuff, so no big surprise that I F'ed it up :D Now I now precisely what to do, what's left is waiting for parts to arrive and appoint a little time for the task. I enjoy riding very much, so I am willing to pay the price. Thanks to the job, I now can.
Everyone screws something up when learning, i've had some cockups in electronics that just made me want to dig a hole and bury the evidence lol. Don't be hard on yourself.
