Can you imagine how difficult it was to film this so transparently? One of the greatest documents of human life I have experienced.

For 50 minutes I forgot my life and was transported to another world. Excellent film making

Going away from family for 90 days alone in the frozen forest just to make a living is no easy task. Amazing people!

@ min. 40:27 That dog is beyond any words!!! He definitely is a superb, and very devoted being / animal. Unbelievable! Stunning! He is running more than 100 miles behind the snowmobile, following his owner... Hats off to that dog!

This documentary humbled me as a human being. What we take for granted in North America is sickening. I admire the resilience of the Siberian People. The Toughest people on the planet. Much Love from Canada. God Bless you folks in Siberia.

One of my favorite documentaries to ever watch. I love these people and the integrity of they're lifestyle. Absolutely wonderful job! If we were all more like these honest, hard working people, how much more would we appreciate all that we do have.

This should be compulsory viewing in every primary school on up throughout the world. Because it is the harshest climate of all to survive in these good folks command much respect. Of course these folks are not the only ones to live in harmony with nature and benefit from her fruits and all those folks throughout the world who live by the same ethos deserve respect and all should learn from them. It shows that we can never lose touch with nature as we most certainly will lose touch with our purpose in life and become aimless souls.

Respect for the people who live in harmony with nature. Respect for the makers of this film. Bravo!

You can tell these folks are grounded and how small their egos are by the way each of them looks into the camera (or the lack thereof), by how comfortable they are with themselves, with life, within their version of reality. Truly they are Happy People.

I was home from work sick today, I'm glad I found this gift to the world to watch. I dream of living such a life, but legalities in the US prohibit most things vital to survival. Thank you for this production.

4 series looked. This is the best documentary I've seen! When the Siberian Husky ran home 100 km-I cried...

It is very humbling to see how these people endure the hardships that are a big part of living so far from more settled areas that are warmer and have more resources to make one's life a little easier. We in the modern Western World complain if our Television is disrupted, or the Internet goes out or the food we ate at the restaurant is not what we expected and our smart phone does not work right. These people seem just as happy and content or more so than we, there expectations are part of the hard life they live.

This documentary must have 1 million views. I am watching it once a week.

I am full of admiration for these people. A truly great documentary.

Amazing people, fantastic film, glorious music and superb narration.

Many of the comments sum up the life of the Russians who live in Siberia very well and thoughtful way. These folks go without the corner grocery store, Cell Phones, Televisions and I am not sure they have electricity, most likely Generator run. Most people use to the easy western life style would not last long living like these people do. They are an enduring people use to hardship, wish them well.

This is probably the most pristine documentary I've ever watched. Thanks for sharing.

I come back to re-watch this wonderful documentary at least once a year. Wholesome and nourishing. It offers such simplicity and beauty that is mostly lost in the hustle and bustle of 'modern life'. . I absolutely love it. cасио!

That dog maked mi in tears ..

Those dogs are unbelievable, the way they run behind that snowmobile for 100 miles. There is something appealing about when the trappers make it back to their little huts for the night. Very cozy I bet

I enjoyed these documentaries very much. It is fascinating that humans can maintain in such an extreme environment....hats off to these self reliant and self sustaining people.

This is the definition of what a community is . The spirit of these great people is a shinning example of what man could be we should all aspire to be more like them .

Only came across this series today. Very taken back by how amazing the people are. Overwhelmed is a understatement. Such happy people. We suckers in the west are miserable.

Absolutely brilliant film making. 10 out of 10. Please make another one of Kolyma- Chukchi peninsular - Kamtchatka or other Russian Far East. We have so much respect for these people he shows.

I used to live in the arctic circle in northern Canada. It is amazing how similar life is in Siberia, right down to the species of fish and landscape. These are some tough people. Nice to see they have most of their traditions intact and make most if not everything they need. Excellent documentary.

The Happy People are intelligent human beings. They are very resourceful, we are very stupid in comparison. All around the table nicely set, a lot of congeniality and togetherness, singing. They do not waste their foods like people do in the West. This video is an enchantment

Fur buyers are shysters. They take advantage of need and buy low then sit on the pelts till late season and sell high . The pelts are prime at both times during season .

These people are so impressive, so tough...and they have a race of Super-Dogs to help them! This series has been just wonderful. Thank you so much for this amazing production, Mr. Vasyukov! By the way, I was very moved when the native men (Nenets?) talked about being forced into Russian schools and losing touch with their culture. Now, they are lost and have an awful problem with alcohol. This is EXACTLY the story of the native tribes of Canada, the United States and Australia. Tragic.
