This universe has got so many to work with, they could do games from the perspective of someone who went on vacations to the resort, to one of the obscura/paragon workers, as well as the victims of the other simulations as the hospital or the graveyard

I watched the whole playthrough of this and this explanation sums up everything perfectly. I'd love to see a video about Shady Part of Me. It's nothing spooky or horror related, but the story behind it is very interesting and I haven't seen anyone talk about it since it's release. I feel like it deserves more attention, and the gameplay itself is really something else. I think there might even be a secret hiding somewhere, but I don't know how to get to it or if it's a secret at all or just another neat detail. Anyway, just a suggestion for another game to look into if you're interested. I look forward to your next video!

When a game where you make burgers actually turns out to be about intergalactic wars, mind control, false realities and government coverups

I encountered a LOT of bugs during my playthrough. I have legitimately no idea why, but it made me lose out on a lot of enjoyment I could've had, as well as most of the lore. A slim few of these may be intentional but with how many were absolutely glitches I couldn't be sure. So I'll list every oddity: -During the boss fight with the pig, the grill didn't turn on when the fight started. Making it impossible to win. Fixed after dying. -Happy wasn't able to attack me the first time I failed (the day after the fight with the pig). Never failed again so no idea if it fixed. -Posters detailing how to make the keypad hacker, burger bomb, and zappy helmet never appeared after collecting the floppy discs. Eventually watched someone else's gameplay, wrote down the ingredients IRL and continued. -Minigame for keypad hacker never started. It would be placed on, flash red on the buttons for a moment, then immediately explode. Fixed after sleeping. -Cassette tapes were invisible. I picked one up miraculously, no idea what triggered it at the time. This never fixed, so hearing the recordings in this video was a bit strange. -Entities that would only move when you weren't looking at them would sometimes be able to move even while I was looking directly at them (no part of their body being obscured or out of view). Dying or going through a loading screen fixed it. But it would randomly come back. -Closing the game deleted every item in my inventory, backpack, and every item I bought I.E. Jukebox. Didn't find a fix. -After using the zappy helmet, no hidden messages from E7 were shown. -VIC would tell me about how 'the fight with charlie was intense, but it was worth it since I got the zappy helmet' every minute or so...after he shut down. -Couldn't feed the farmer during that boss fight. Yes I understand you have to do it on the plate. Yes I understand you have to give him 1 of each burger. I Tried giving him pre-made burgers I created at the old timey restaurant off plate then on a plate (understandably didn't work). Tried feeding him all 3 burgers at the same time on a plate. Again fixed by dying. -The salmon was impossibly fast the first time the chase scene started (I assume). Was in the water for about 2 seconds before I got a game over. It was otherwise a very polished and enjoyable game. I just had a god awful amount of bad luck, or my game was corrupted, or something. Again I have no idea why this happened. I can't rightly blame any of this on the creators even if it was incredibly frustrating and immersion breaking, I just wanted to share my infuriating experience.

I have my own summary of the history part. One day a guy became a cartoonist and then he became Walt Disney. Then his son Chuck made everyone sad and dead inside and outside. and also made games that still look cartoony even though Happy became a freaking demon slayer. Then after Soni- Happy the humble heifer X. Chuck was commit gone. Then his twin children painted Happy's corpse yellow and blue and then she was resurrected. The end.

There just something I’m confused about. You’re in a simulation, but the nightmarish version of the animals are in that simulation even though it is a simulation. Furthermore, it seems the simulation is colliding with reality, because the monsters in the simulation are attacking paragon employees.

This game has an incredible amount of lore. They gave a back story to the back story. They created a world and a history for the game but didn’t make it too hard to understand. Very well done!

Ever since I saw you play this game I've been waiting to see you break down the story! Your explanations always make it easier to understand games with complex stories like these!

It’s kinda funny that our way of combat in this game is typically ‘non-violent’. We’re using burgers to fight our opponents, not picking up weapons (or crafting those bombs to fight either come to think of it). The stimulation was originally designed as a means to remove the need yo use for violence. Seems interesting there isn’t a conventional way to fight inside it.

Funny how “Elysian” means paradise when really this game’s world is pretty much hell

Did anyone else notice Toe runs to work as if he's driving a car... Since he is E7 the previous 'experiment' maybe he's the main character from the demo release that was played where you drive to work... In his head he's still sort of stuck in that simulation

After watching 30 minutes of this, I'm actually speechless. I've never seen a horror genre game portray modern consumerism and late-stage corporatism in such a mature, symbolic manner. I can only hope for another installment coming in the next few months from now, thank you so much for covering this.

End of the game summed up in one sentence: "You are free... and so is SHE." Anyway this game was alot more intricate than I thought. Also I thought for sure that you can get more lore if you decide to stay here and not escape, therefore getting the bad ending. But since you didn't describe that, I guess that means the true ending is the way to go; or rather the true ending gives you just as enough lore without needing to sacrifice yourself to get more info.

What I'm curious about is what the other three classes are, like the grave one, and we'll there be games about them? I hope so, I'd love to see how the other classes work

This game is sure like if a Horror game is even more like a nightmarish, insane, bizarre and scary fever dream.

"fire in the studio" is the equivalent of "the isekai truck" for horror franchises

3:57 Tex Vanaver seems similar to the animator Tex Avery, not to mention the introduction opening at 4:06 is also identical to the Looney Tunes one. Also the way Vanaver wanted to rebel against the happy go lucky charm the previous cartoons had and went with a more horror is similar to how Tex Avery wanted to change the idea of animation to not be just for children like the way Disney presented animation, but also could be adult and sexual in nature.

So, we got an evil corporation doing things they shouldn't and ended up dooming humanity with their Hubris. Why does it always have to be a giant evil company in horror games? Is it because of Resident Evil? Is it because they started the trend?

1:26 I like this design of the burger mascot better then the final/modern one that's in the sequel. Looks more cute/approachable so seeing it turned dark and scary would it more unnerving but the current/modern one is already kind of unnerving which is no difference to some real life fast food mascots but I guess that's just my anthro animal appreciator bias talking.

You got one tiny piece of information wrong. Maverick Cooper is a free lance reporter not a DJ. While it isn't mentioned here it is mentioned in their other game Cultists & Compounds.

This game can easily be turned into a successful horror film. The only thing is that they may have to change Scythe to Earth, since it would confuse the audience.

Man, this game is incredibly bizarre.

I really like how the Work Intro Booklet in the apartment has fully new versions of the Barnyard Buds characters with different drawings for each page, while all other places where they appear as their previous versions they simple have copy-pasted images, this shows that Obscura tried to make it as realistic as possible but also culdn't be bothered to redraw characters so it wouldn't look suspicious as to why they are the same every page But overall I love the artstyle of the characters, all versions, the classic ones capture the early black&white cartoon style and vibes perfectly, the monstrous versions have that terror feeling to them, the mascots in the restaurant have the kid-friendly vibes as well as the one with the life lessons to them and the Work Intro Booklet versions have that modern charm to them that's supposed to welcome in new workers

Not gonna lie, my favourite part of your gameplay was actually when you’re working in the farm and making the burgers and stuff, but only in the burger farm game. The burger barn one was a little mundane no offence
