Now really, what good is keeping spam in the can? One month can release many deserving slices from confinement. I know Carolina Chris Outdoors will back me up on this. Spam stays rotating thru our pantry all year, we do not hinder it for 334 days a year. Set the spam free!! I love your spam and cabbage meal.

Yes Spamtember!!! I didn't even realize it was Spamtember but today (9.1.21) I am staying at a hotel and didn't want to go out to eat so I made one of my favorite trial meals. I had my basic cook set with me in the hotel room and warmed up some water and mixed in Idahoan smokey cheese instant potatoes and spam for a great meal!

Ask any normal person .. What's Spam and they will refer you to the computer junk. The poor , real , underappreciated and unrecognized Spam needs a celebratory month for all of it's greatness. After all no backpacker is a real backpacker till they have at lease one pack of Spam in their pack. I say it's time to wake up the rest of the population and to share all Spam goodness with them. Bring Spamtember Back !!!!! I also think that the singles ( ClaxSnack ) of Claxton Fruitcake needs recognition as a trail food. You'll always find some in my food bag.
