and Hyori was the REASON for me to watch this episode over and over again.. seriously this was the best episode and the best hyori (open sincere and cool to tell about her boyfriend/ husband now)
First time I saw Hyori on a variety show called "Family Outing" , I thought she was too straightforward and she always overpowered others. But after watching several episodes of that show I became a huge fan of Hyori. Although she always acts very mean, deep down inside she has a warm heart. She takes care of people in her way. She makes jokes to make it less awkward for newbie without thinking for her image. Rich and famous as she is, she never acts like a princess. And you can see what she does for animals. Hyori is so kind and real. I dont listen to her music much but she is still a person that I look up to. A woman like her is just so hard to find in kpop industry. SHE IS NOT BAD MEANING BAD, BUT BAD MEANING GOOD.
Very well said..i agree with you. That was also my first impression on her but while watching the vareity show i learned that she is not that mean and that she is just being true to herself. I am not a kpop fan but i don’t know i just like the way she is.
+Annie Ruan she's known for being straightforward or no nonsense approach to a point that might rub others and their fans the wrong way. I never found her rude, just matter of fact. If you're still interested, she was one of the original hosts with Jae Suk for Happy Together, around 2001. I've watched her get hit on the head with a round tray dropped from above( this used to be one of the popular punishments in shows then like XMan) in one of the shows she hosted. I can't remember which variety talk show, could be Sang Sang Plus, while wearing a high school outfit. I like her in variety shows for she can be glamorous one moment then be down to earth the next, rolling in the mud looking disheveled and not making a big deal of it.
It's rare to see strong minded female celebrities like Hyori, especially in the Korean Entertainment industry. It's funny how most male cast members that are usually vocal try to tread carefully around her because they're too afraid that she might "bite" their heads off with her words lol She's definitely my role model !
Lee Hyori is one of those friends who will always mess around with you or bash you but will be by your side when it matters..and she seems very protective and loyal to her friends and her husband. I love that about her. I think every one of us would rather have a kinda straightforward friend like her rather than a superficial friend
I know that her straightforwardness may not appeal to many, but I found it so cute when Hyori got so defensive when Myungsoo insulted Sangsoon. She looked like she was going to attack him haha

I love how her friends commented how she's really pretty, which she truly is, despite the fact that she's tan. Because most Asians look down upon tan Asians, even though they have beautiful features and are beautiful people. Color of your skin should not define your beauty.

Hyori has a really strong character and is also impatient and abrupt, but I think she also has a kind heart. I think people tread carefully around her, because they know she has a short fuse.
I’m watching this for the first time in 2020 well after Hyori and Sangsoon got married, the bed and breakfast show they did together, etc.., and it’s great to see much of what was said here about their relationship back then still holds true today.
The fact Hyori is bossy makes me love her more. For those pathetic men who can't take her awesomeness and say things like she mistreats her husband, it's not like she would ever marry you. It's not yours to judge.
I love lee hyori! i discovered her song bad girl and miss korea and was just so jealous of her looks. when i learned she was a huge animal lover and activist that just melted my heart and made me love her so much. I speak zero korean but I do love her hit songs even though I don't understand anything lol

Hyori might be too straightforward, but that's her personality; the cool & forward type which is really entertaining. Sadly, what she mentioned was true, many artist (Actress/Singer/Model) do not have the chance to appear on variety shows (RM,HT, etc) unless their popularity hit a certain level. Great ep!
idk why but hyori reminded me so much of g-dragon he was also sitting in that same place as her when he came on HT with big bang the mannerisms, the expressions, even the highlight on their faces is so identical! the stuff they do and how they act and all is v v similar

I was kinda hoping hyori and jaesuk will be a lot closer than what they showed in this episode. Then again maybe its because of the image hyori needs to show for her new album or because yoo jaesuk needs to tone down a bit for Happy Together and be an interviewer instead. Regardless, I really miss hyori and her Family Outing days.

I know the introductions at the start were supposed to be 'funny' but the stuff they said about Hyori and her husband was so gross. All three of their looks couldn't even make up one good looking person.

Hyori is my fav unnie of all time -3 She may come off as dry and too direct, but the reason people love her is because she's actually a warm person on the inside.
Funny, though they have this strong brother-sister feel when they are together, I too always thought their personalities really match each other. Hyori may appear to be a headstrong, fierce and wild person but I think deep down she's also very caring, gentle and sometimes very sensitive. On the other hand, Yoo Jae Suk may look weak in appearance but to be as successful as he is, the man must be very strong-willed, patience, calm and reliable; someone who can be an emotional anchor to his friends and family. When I look at them, I can't help but think...they fit.

She basically misunderstood that line to mean that SHE was a product (basically being told she's a commodity) when in fact he was referring to her autographed items, hehe. She's not the type to hold back her tongue when she thinks something is wrong.
