I do want to think their management are totally different. They merged 4 to 5 years ago but they still had their own independency.

Yuri Yuki same with YGKplus. Its merged with YG entertainment but still they have the freedom regarding the agency decisions.

Tbh I think the Korean model industry is very different from the Western modelling industry (I follow both)! They help each other out because they face difficulties (language barrier, racial discrimination, etc) working abroad (NY/Paris/Milan/London Fashion Weeks). If you watch the Han Hyejin documentary she faced pretty bad racial discrimination in NYFW back in the early 00s (before ~ diversity ~ was a thing), as one of the very first Asian models there. That's why she and other top models are so insistent on helping each other and their juniors. You don't really have that need in the Western modelling industry, so it tends to be more competitive and less supportive there.

Watch the new Episode of Boss in the Mirror. Esteem's boss is the Main Guest. SM might have shares in the company. But the real boss is someone else. Yoonju also appeared their. She has been working with Esteem's boss for more than 20 years.

@@trishagray9934 I know that and They joined SM in 2015 as Strategic Alliance for Producer 101. But SM didn't established it. It was established by the Esteem's Boss Kim So Yeon with Yoonju and few other models as worker in 2003.

@@rgaha5676 I just checked Wikipedia & it is not because of Produce 101 why they formed an alliance & partnership. During *Produce X 101* which was happened this year ESteem sent some of their models as representative of ESteem & S.M. to give them a chance to cross over into Korean Music Industry.

It's actually really sad. After a lifetime of modelling "in the shadows" (majority of Korean public not interested in her overseas success bc they thought she was ugly), she said she enjoyed letting the public get to know about her career on I Live Alone. So I think she would really have enjoyed laughing, joking, and reminiscing about her now-retired career on a major talk show with her fellow models! But she can't cause of the breakup.

I think one of the reason why SM idols choose to stay calm during party is because dancing is part of their job. Well, dance at party and dance on stage as idol will be different but still. Meanwhile model don't do dancing on stage.
