Works great.

thank you sir! just fixed my lights by removing the limiter, my 2 bulbs are only 6w each, no where near 190w

Do you think doing this will solve my dimming problem? The bulbs are dimmable, but they won't dim when connected to the fan & (wall) dimmer switch.

I f your fan has a remote for the light, try holding down the light switch for 3 seconds - worked great on my fan - discovered this reading the comments on another video- I did this modification on one fan and it worked great but the other fan doesn’t have a limiter that I could find

I have a Hunter fan (with quick disconnect) that had this issue. At first I thought it was a bad switch, because it started off intermittently, and would resolve by multiple pulls of chain, however that didn't last long. I saw burning evidence on the power limiter. I opened it up and saw one of the capacitors popped. Before bypassing, I had no continuity between the blue going into the switch and the black wires after the switch, now I do :)

Is there any concern of creating too many new connections and breaks in the light? Any risk of short or fire or other malfunction since you are cutting and reconnecting multiple wires?

Tried this and the lights work now but the remote doesnt turn the lights off fully. It leaves them very dim, have to pull the cord to completly shut off.

Are the molex connectors a must have? Can those wires just be twist nutted? Our fan works but no light.

Mine has a lot more wires: white, grey, red, brow, purple. any suggestions?

Do you have a solution for fan stuck in high speed only? I replaced the capacitor and it didn’t make a difference.

Do you have a solution when the fan won't stop? The speeds and light worked with the remote but the fan can't be stop with it. I switched the remote but it's the same thing.
