The unit runs for a few seconds then shuts off and trips the reset switch. I drained the old cloudy/milky compressor oil and replaced with new oil, and replaced the original capacitor with a new one from a local HVAC supplier, but that didn't fix it. The reed valve appears to be in great condition.
If anyone has some suggestions that would be truly appreciated.
*** UPDATE 9/9/2022 - my apologies for not responding until now... am a bit surprised this vid has gotten so many views, but I don't want to waste anyone's precious time.
I NO LONGER have the unit, I actually set it out by the curb - perhaps it was a blessing for someone else - I just didn't have the know-how nor the time to keep tinkering with it. I got the little red pancake model from Freight and it has served me needs thus far. I shan't complain in the least bit for what the good LORD has done for me soul.
It does appear that some visitors have offered some really good suggestions below, certainly worth a try for someone in need!
Thank you for stopping by. And no, you DO NOT have to "click the bell", subscribe, like, etc, etc :), LORD knows I rarely do that meself.

In the process of converting vintage sermon cassettes to MP3 podcasts... my I am enjoying this, just hoping and praying this effort is pleasing to the good LORD, oh the mercy that HE hath had on a wretch like unto me!
